| Truth Be Told 1x01 * Gun- "Dad, you have a gun!?" Hell yeah Jack has a gun!! And he knows how to use it. He may be in a tense and dangerous situation (just meeting his estranged daughter to save her life from an evil international oraganization) but Jack's aim is never off. Doppleganger 1x05 * Bare Hands- Yes, unfortunately Jack's brute force was used on a CIA friend, but it saved that man from becoming Sloane's next "conversation room" visitor. Color Blind 1x07 * Gun to the Back of the Head- Jack was doing what any good double agent would do: shun the handshake and shove Vaughn against the wall to "question" him. It doesn't even ruffle him, being the seasoned agent that he is, Jack can still cut down eager Vaughn with some well-directed sarcasm. Time Will Tell 1x08 * Sixty-Second Pen- Okay, so this isn't really taking out any bad guys, but it is still for the protection of the Bristows. Who knows? Next time we see that pen, Vaughn's "bitchin" tech guys might add some sleeper spray or a mini-gun in it. For now, this subterfuge weapon will have to remain a non-physical threat. Mea Culpa 1x09 *Death-Glare- So maybe Jack isn't trying to kill Marshall, but his glare after the candy offer definitely was meant as a threat, that *if-you-hand-me-a-Snickers-I-will-have-to-hurt-you*-look. This look got Marshall focused on the info that Jack was looking for. Yup, very effective. Spirit 1x10 *Table/Shield/Projectile- Quick, a man pulls a gun on you. What do you do? Use the table of course! Jack manages to take down one badly dressed henchman with this everyday household object. *Spy maneuvers- Thinking fast, Jack grabs the second henchman's arm to drop-kick him before the previously-mentioned table even hits the ground. The only reason why Jack doesn't get away with this is because Fabio-on-steroids comes out of a car that Jack couldn't see because he was a tiny bit occupied with the other two goons. Confession 1x11 *Gun- Jack not only manages to take out one guy, but also frees himself and has Hassan on the ground before the gunsmoke clears from the air. This man can multi-task like no other. Tsk tsk, Hassan. You should know better than to place a gun into the hands of a man that almost escaped your four henchmen with just his bare hands and a small caf table. **Elbow- Note to self: never ask Jack for a way out of Cuba. A quick jab of his elbow is enough to completely knock out Hassan for a long time. A really long time...so long that it looked like Hassan didn't even regain conciousness until he reached the U.S. Yeah, that's one powerful move. The Box Part 1 1x12 *Gun (in elevator)- This is the infamous Jack and Syd on the elevator episode. Who do you think would win? Jack with his small handgun and perfect aim or Henchman with military assault weapon. No contest.we would have seen Jack helping Sydney get down from the ceiling of the elevator so that she wouldnt get her shoes dirty with the blood of the now-dead henchman. Lucky for that henchman he didnt look up. *Gun (stealth moves)- Jack shows us some more of his SpyDaddy skills as he makes his way down the halls of SD-6. What makes this so impressive is Jacks need to remain professional at all times. After pulling out his gun, he manages to straighten his suit while continuing to assess the potential threats. (see Skill #47 on Skills page) After all, if you are going to save your enemies, you better look damn good doing it. The Box Part 2 1x13 *Kick of Doom- The moment Jack gets himself on his feet, he is ready to inflict some damage with them. This kick is well-directed to a henchmans neck. Ouchyou could hear that one sting. (Quick side-note: Okay, we have an entire room full of CIA agents and all we have is Marshall, Dixon, Jack, and Syd doing anything to take out the enemies?!? Does this sound wrong to anyone else? Come on people, if Marshall can kick butt, you could at least try.) *Pliers- Jack takes Sloanes fingerprint. This isnt exactly a weapon because Sloane insists that Jack cut off his finger, but we all know that Jack wasnt about to put up a fight. Notice how Jack looks at Sloanes expression of fear right before clamping downyup, he wants to remember that one for a rainy day. Page 47 1x15 *Thug- Jack doesnt want to get too much blood on his hands and suit, so he brings along an obedient bruiser. This guy takes care of the usual roughing-up routine: a shove into the chair and a punch to knock out the victim. As Dr. Evil would say , Its all pretty standard really. Q&A 1x17 *Gun- Talk= body-slamming, gun-to-the-head, death-glare little chat. Jack probably scratched Haladkis paint job with just the body toss onto the hood of the car. The gun to the side of the head would be a very persuasive method for anyone trying to extract info, but Jack makes it extra sophisticated by tossing in vivid imagery of the ramifications of his actions if Haladki should mention their little talk....Im so glad that they were able to talk things out. *Assault Rifle- While rescuing someone from the FBI, you have got to make sure that your weapons are bigger and scarier than theirs. Size does matter here. The Three Musketeers of the Mt. Subasio or Bust! mission are sure to do just that. These men, our SpyDaddy among them, are so threatening that the FBI releases their enemy of the state #1 without any hesitation. The Solution 1x20 *Just Being Jack- Apparently Jack doesnt even need to be threatening to scare someone. Will was backing away even before Jack started getting a little more forceful. Focus Mr. Tippin! Will may have thought that he had the upper-hand in this situation, but Jack was quick to show just who was in charge. Yup, no one holds Jack on a leashhe does things his way and on his own time. Rendezvous 1x21 *Gun- Get in! No waitGet down!!! Careful not to hit the daughter he loves and the terrified Mr. Tippin, Jack dispatches evil club bouncer with just two quick shots (he got him in the first shot, but hey, you gotta make sure the guy is dead.) Bam!Bam!!!..leaving time for the two youngsters to get into the car and make a speedy getaway. Almost Thirty Years 1x22 *Gun and Elbow- (deadly combo) Jack must have one of his infamous talks with Haladki. SpyDaddy manages to surprise him by breaking into his car (those spy skills at work). The weasel does some whining, but Jack is quick to put an end to that. Imagine Haladkis surprise hmmmI wonder if I can catch Baywatch tonight ::author gagging just writing that:: WHAT THE HELL!?! Jack what are you doingI am so going to get you fired! No one makes cheap snitchy threats to Jackcall out the JBE task force! *An entire frickin Torture Chamber- Oh yeah, Jack goes all out for this JBE offender. Haladki has been a pest for a while but now Jack finds out that he was trying to expose Sydney. The gun to the head just isnt enough anymore. Nope, this calls for more drastic measures. Using some acidic solution to make Haladki uncomfortable is step one. Next he moves onto the hand-cruncher. Finally to end this pathetic weasels threat to the Killer Bristows, Jack shoots him. This may be controversial to many watchers of Alias, but we at the JBE are pledged to support Jonathon D. Bristow in all his decisions. Jack was justified in killing Haladki and that is all there is to it. |
