| �Page 47� 1x15 �Tempering Sloane�s Viciousness � It�s a tough skill to master, but Jack knows just the amount of yielding and chastising Sloan�s more willfully violent impulses. Here, Spydaddy actually saves Will Tippin from being assassinated due to the reporter�s snooping into SD-6. �Kidnapping � Jack kidnaps Will. The fact that the alternative involves Will�s death means that it�s actually for his own good. Despite this, the threats and violence in this scene still makes us feel a little sorry for Will. He just doesn�t have a chance against the persuasive tactics of SpyDaddy and his honorary JBE cohort. �Strategy � Jack comes up with the plan for stealing Rambaldi�s page 47 from Sloane�s home vault. They replacement page made by the CIA must be switched for the real thing during a social dinner, hosted by Emily and Sloan. �Spy Charms � Spydaddy sounds like James Bond when he tells Will he�s an �Analyst, Investment Analyst� for Credit Dauphine. Jack puts out all the stops for this dinner party. He smiles, laughs, listens attentively to Emily�s story of evil slave-drivers, offers to get wine from Sloane�s private cellar, and artfully demonstrates how to be a �dapper-Dan� or a suave secret operative. |
| �The Prophesy� 1x16 �Confidante of Sloane � It�s not easy to be Sloane�s confidante, but Jack does manage to get lots of inside information from the exchange. After all, some one has to do the hard stuff. �Planning the Vatican Mission � Off the top of his head, Jack is able to tell Sydney that Rambaldi�s original code key is stored in the Vatican. Next, he�s able to ensure that Sydney has Vaughn�s help for the retrieval mission by convincing Devlin that it�s a good idea. Luckily, Devlin consents or else the JBE would have had to punish him. |
| �Q&A� 1x17 �Constitutional Knowledge � Jack knows that under directive 81A, the FBI can hold Sydney without trial, for the rest of her life. From this, Vaughn finally is able to understand the real threat Sydney is facing at the hands of the federal government. �Mt. Subasio Mission Planning � Vaughn may be the one with the crazy plan to clear Sydney from the FBI�s witch-hunt, but Jack is one who makes the trip happen. He has to enlist the help of Vaughn & Weiss, coerce Sydney�s transfer information out of Haladki, and convince Sydney that visiting Mt. Subasio is the right course of action. �Gun skills/driving skills � Spydaddy employs both to rescue Sydney� see Weapons page for more. �JDB Special � No one does threats like our favorite SpyDaddy! Usually, a Jack Bristow death-glare would be enough to convince even the most seasoned of agents, but Jack doesn�t waste time testing Haladki�s resolve. Action!Jack accosts the weasel in the parking lot, threatens him at gunpoint, and asks all the right questions regarding Sydney�s transfer time. |

| �Masquerade� 1x18 �I can�t do this episode. Sydney patronizes her father, Sloan belittles Jack, and Noah Hicks makes me sick� I�m also not a fan of the whole psychology scene, so I�ll spare everyone else that torment as well. |
| �The Solution� 1x20 �Consummate Actor Jack � Jack plays the part of Sydney�s banker father wonderfully when Will accuses him of being an SD-6 agent. He does a great job of playing the innocent and incredulous role. When he later lies to Will about Sydney�s agent status, I almost believed him! �Listening � Jack doesn�t merely follow his own instincts blindly. When he talks to Will, he is able to gain valuable information from the exchange. This is because he actually listens to Will�s story and realizes that the CIA must have a mole. �Will, the Double Agent Plan � Jack uses Will to find out who the CIA mole is, since Devlin was being a jerk and wouldn�t allow Jack to follow up on the evidence that would prove Haladki is the guilty party. Plus, I love the way Spydaddy debriefs and orders Will around in this episode. You are da man, Jack Donahue Bristow! |
| �Rendezvous� 1x21 �Will Mission Supervisor � Jack directs Will�s efforts to find out who�s threatening him for information regarding SD-6. Will would be lost without Jack�s help. �Supplier � Jack gives Will a time-released methamphetamine to combat the effects of Sodium Pentathol (Truth serum), thus proving that he is omniscient in the ways of spy standard operating procedure. �Wire-tape king � Jack has honed these skills to perfection, but here we actually get to witness Jack listening to Will�s interrogation as it takes place. From this information and previously gathered intel, Jack figures out that Khasinau is trying to expose SD-6 for what it really is. �Getaway Car Maneuver � Spydaddy�s favorite action moves always use both cars and guns! Here, he anticipates Sydney & Will�s exit from the Paris nightclub, shoots the henchmen who follow behind them, and deftly drives the trio to relative safety. �Identity Changes in 20 Minutes or Less � While driving the getaway car, Jack makes a phone call to a field operator and arranges for Will to get a new identity and make-over for his trip back to the United States. |
| �Almost Thirty Years� 1x22 �Practical Thinking � Sydney may be emotional enough to blindly hand over both the Rambaldi Solution and the Blank Page in exchange for Will�s life, but Jack understands how important it is to be able to strategize. Jack wants to expose the page with the Solution and make a copy for themselves. Jack also saves them from blindly handing over the instructions detailing how the Circumference works. Since the Circumference may end up being the device which destroys the world in Rambaldi�s Prophesy, Jack may have just saved the world from certain destruction. �CIA Thievery � Spydaddy breaks into the CIA to retrieve the solution. �Retrieving the Blank Rambaldi Page � Jack devises the way that Sydney can get both the password, Sloan�s voice saying the password out loud, and Sloan�s fingerprint from the Santa Barbara facility. This complex operation requires hacking into SD-6�s computer network, taping Sloan�s voice so it can be digitally reorganized to say the password, and making a copy of Sloan�s fingerprint. Jack does all the computer work and makes a latex copy of Sloan�s fingerprint. Yeah, Sydney would be lost without her Spydaddy! �Torturing & Killing Haladki � Jack would be doing the world a favor here, regardless of the fact that Haladki was the CIA mole reporting back to Khasinau. Yet, this scene also shows off his many skills in torture and weaponry (see weapons page). I�d feel sorry for Haladki, but he�s Haladki! Ding dong, the weasel�s dead� (humming)�. �Taipei Plan � Jack devises the plan which sends Sydney & Vaughn to Khasinau�s Taipei manufacturing plant & club. Their mission is to destroy both the Circumference device and the actual plant where it was built. Meanwhile, Spydaddy exchanges the Rambaldi artifacts for Will Tippin. |
