Forecast Discussion
Today will be milder with highs near 50. Thursday and Friday, a steep core of Arctic air will sink into the region. This is being widely underestimated by Meteorologists right now, and none are really speaking of it, but it is becoming more and more likely that it will happen. This will be the coldest air we've seein a WHILE. This is record-setting cold, and Friday will be the coldest day of Winter, with 20s for Highs, and possible SINGLE DIGITS for Lows. There is also a chance of some flurries Thursday morning. Nothing major, but probably the only SNOW we'll see for a while, if we even see that. Just our luck, we get the cold, but no precipitation to go along with it.

A very cool, calm weather pattern will set it after the arctic outbreak Thursday and Friday. Highs will return to around 50 with the "return flow" (retreat of the arctic air) from the arctic air. Then, highs will generally be in the 30s and 40s, with lows in the 10s and 20s. Again, no real threats of any Winter Storms in the next 10 days.

Long-Term Forecast Discussion
I do believe that February will be our only month to see multiple REAL Winter Storm threats, with possibly a major Winter Storm sometime between mid and late February when the pattern changes to milder, more spring-like weather.
