Hi. Thanks for clicking. I'm originally from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. (check out my hometown paper!) I started out in musical theater, and graduated from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music. When I came to New York, I started doing improv. I've worked with Gotham City Improv, Chicago City Limits, The Pollyannas, UCB Theatre (with my boys, The Naked Babies), and Boom Chicago of Amsterdam. With the Pollyannas' director, Greg Pak, I created and played the title role in a short film, The Penny Marshall Project, which is a Blair Witch spoof that features Penny Marshall, Francis Ford Coppola and Akira Kurosawa getting lost in the woods behind Penny's summer home while looking for their 'independent spirit'. Even after 'Blair Witch', this small film has screened in many festivals around the country. You can see it at AtomFilms.com. As a teacher, I've taught improv skills and teambuilding to many corporate groups in the US and abroad, and was a guest instructor of improv for actors at the Yale School of Drama.

About Jolley On The Spot:
This show came about because I'm too lazy to write. I'm kidding. No really, it's true. Luckily, I'm an improviser and a singer; it just made sense. And my last name is Jolley, so that was real convenient. The show does have a structure, and there's a tiny longform in the middle. It's a lot of fun, and totally different every time. Technically, it's a solo show, but my pianist, Frank Spitznagel is truly the other improviser in this show. We're both making it up at the same time, and have to be on the same page (and in the same key). I don't know what else to say about it - you'll just have to see it! Be sure to check for updates on the Show Log - I'll be adding video clips soon.
