About Us
Starline Stables began to take form in the summer of 2006 when Jordan and Kacy Maryott began the construction phase of a life-long dream. For 2 long years, Jordan custom built everthing from the barn, the stalls, saddle racks, plumbing, electric, and 1500 feet of pipe fence almost entirely by himself.

It all began when a daddy promised his little girl a horse when he retired from the Navy, unbeknownst to him that this is the one promise she wouldn't let him forget. When Kacy and her family moved to Cedar Hill Texas in 1996, she began riding lessons immediately. It wasn't long until she began training with the crazy but talented horse master Danny Bell. In his program, students trained every day for a few hours perfecting their skills in classical dressage, jumpers, saddle seat, Roman riding, liberty and trick training.

In February 1997, just days after her dad retired from the Navy, she bought her first horse,
Prince. After moving to Justin, TX she began training at area facilities through-out high school as well as working for local trainers. After high school, she attended Virginia Intermont College as an Equine Science major taking classes in equine nutrition, farrier science, barn management ect.

While in Virginia she worked for prestigious hunter/jumper farms and briefly for a Lippizzaner breeder before moving back to Texas. Back in Texas, she began working at the American Paint Horse Association as a Special Events assistant and in registration until she became pregnant with their first baby Mason in July 2007, delaying the opening of Starline.

Jordan bought his first horse,
Ginger, in 1998 as a 2 year old and trained her himself although he wasn't an experienced rider. He mostly rode trails and dueled on horseback with his brother and Charlie. In high school, Jordan joined the Rodeo team and rode bare back broncs. As fate would have it, he also worked building barns and other metal buildings. After high school, when he joined the US Marine Corps, his dad sadly gave away their horses. Jordan later joined BNSF Railway as a conductor in Tulsa until a craft-transfer to Dispatcher brought him back to Texas. Although Jordan and Kacy went to the same high school, it wasn't until they both moved back to Texas that they began dating and then shortly after, began building the barn.

Although Kacy had
Image, Prince and the beginnings of a new barn, something was still missing. The memories of Ginger and Charlie were always (almost annoyingly) present; so the search began. The new owners of both horses, who had them for 3 years, were understandably reluctant to sell them back. Fortunately they were willing to trade. Through buying, selling and training of a few horses for them, Kacy managed to get Ginger and Charlie back as a surprise and a big "thank you" for all of Jordan's hard work. They were finally able to enjoy their passion for horses together at last, and continue their progress in their horse business.

Starline officially opened its doors to boarders in October 2008. Although a few things go unfinished, improvements are always being made. Plans are under-way for new loafing sheds, new arena footing, a new shop, and one day a new house; but hope to always retain the small, welcoming atmosphere it has today.
