Yee-haw.  This game doesn't have too much bearing on the nation.  Just a great middle of the pack SEC battle.  Bama gave Oklahoma a run for their money, and took Middle Tennessee State out early.  As I was looking at this game, I was trying to picture a time when Alabama would be considered a powerhouse.  I think I like that more than Florida.  Come back, Crimson Tide or, as Cathy would say "the periods".

How is Arkansas gonna score?  Thas the only question. They aint runnin da ballthey aint passin da ball for sureshit.  They gon have to return a kick.sorry Clinton, yer team aint winnin it today big man.  Bama will have this game locked up by the 2nd quarter and they will continue to lock the razorbacks down but will give up the ball once in their own territory and give up an easy touchdown.  But Bama plays up to the level of their competition and beyond.  If they can get the first touchdown, Arkansass defense will get tired and give up more rushing yards.  This has potential to be the closest game of the year, but I dont think it will be.  Bama has too many weapons.Good country ass SEC battle though!

Iowa should be ranked.  Iowa State should be ranked.  Iowa..heh heh.  They suck, as a state.  At least their football is good now.  Penn State really looks good, and I have them #12 on my Fiesta list, but this is one of the games that will cause them hemmorhaging.  Whether I spelled that word right or not, I don't care.  Whether the game will be close or not, I don't know.  Look for Penn State to need to try hard to keep the feisty Iowas down though.  I thought Penn State was highly overranked at the beginning of the season.  They've proved me wrong so far.  If they blow Iowa out, I'll take back anything I ever said.  What the...."Barber Shop" is the #1 movie in America 2 weeks in a row according to that commercial....what a gay time for movies.

Iowa has to bounce back from last week while PSU has to keep the ball rolling. After last year, good ol Happy Valley is Ecstatic Divot!  Ya feel me!  Joe Pa sthinks he still has a few more years in him? Wellhis players seem to agreeHe doesnt have Kevin Jones like he should, but he has Zack Mills and hes going to use him until the days done!  Zack Mills proved himself to be an Ijamsville legend, and after his head coach at Urbana coaxed him into becoming a Lion like he was himself, Zack saw that his uniform hadnt changed since hed been at Urbana.  He started playing like the team that he won those state championships with and those undefeated seasons with.  He realized that he didnt have Billy Gaines anymore, but he had something better in the JohnsonsBryant and Larry.  Once he started utilizing the tools hed learned at Urbana and just played..he hasnt shown me the loser I once wanted him to be.  If yer gonna rep the state of Maryland, might as well do it while winning.  Hell roll once again throw Happy Valley and the Hawkeyes D.

Iowa has been tougher than a varmint in a briar patch.  However, they lack JoePa.  What a great combination of names.  JoePa.  He'll increase his lead over Papa Bobby "Dadgum" Bowden, but it won't be easy.

Wofford at Maryland (G's Pick)

Why do we schedule EMU and Wofford back-to-back?  I'd much rather see a terrible real team than Wofford.  Just going for a win?  Play Army!!!  Not Wofford.  I think my streak of going to every home game ends at this game.  Stupid Wofford.

What can I say. Their leading receiver is legally blind..25 blind catches. Wofford is 3 0 and almost beat Clemson and south Carolina in the past; Last year I believe.  Wofford is a hard team to stop because they are not a traditional hard nosed team.  They know that they do not have the talent to beat a team face to face, so they go for the kneesliterally.  This team is known for their infamous cut blocks on anyone in an opposing jersey.  They also run a LOT of option and a LOT of jailbreaks, which in my opinion is the hardest play in college football to stop. Akron scored on us using the Jailbreak, and EMU almost broke one on us using the same play.  Purdue uses it all the time, and with Vinny Sutherland over there, they scored a hell of a lot with it!  Wofford is in my opinion a I-AA school with potential to upset atleast 60 of the 117 I-A schools.  With Bruce possibly out for another week for precautionary reasons, that bumps the true freshman all-american, Josh Allen, up to number two behind Chris Downs.  Expect Josh to play maybe 3 quarters if not four and rck up close to 200 yards on the ground.  Scott and CK will throw picks of course, but they will also throw 3 tds together. Go Terps.WVU next week and Scotty will get revenge against his old school hopefully.

Why.  I understand we go to Maryland, but did we really need to pick the Wofford game, G?  Their leading WR is legally blind!  Not legally blonde, like Reese Witherspoon.  She's hot.  Hot and talented.  What she's doing with that stupid talentless prick Ryan Phillippe is beyond me.  Get with the program, Reese, honey.  Do some independent stuff too, before the likes of "Sweet Home Alabama" drag you down.  You're too good for that.  I love Reese Witherspoon.
