| Oregon State (23), (24) at USC (18), (22): Final Score: USC, 22-0 GUEST SAGE KRIS: Oregon State, 27-22 4.2 points Harmon: Oregon State, 17-16 7.0 points CFN: USC, 34-30 10.4 points Joe: Oregon State, 38-28 1.0 points This game really excites me. I think Oregon State may be the best team in the PAC 10. After destroying Fresno State, a team that Oregon struggled with, the Beavers face a real test. USC is coming off of a close loss to Kansas State, my newfound favorite team (besides Oklahoma and Muhryland, of course). They were driving late, but then on fourth and long, Palmer launched the ball about 200 yards past the nearest guy. I wouldn't even remember that play, except, after watching Sportscenter and ESPNEWS, I've now seen it about 35 times, from 4 different angles. I don't know why they kept showing that play. Another loss would all but put USC out of the Fiesta picture, and make the PAC 10 season tougher. Anyway, Oregon State is currently #9 in my list of Fiesta Bowl hopefuls. USC isn't in the list, but they still do have a small chance. G: Oregon State, 35-24 1.4 points One thing I really hate is the Pac-10. But for some fuckin reason, I like the Oregon teams. Maybe its the fact that their mascots are the ducks and the beavers.doest get much better than that. Trojans, I could care less about. Id be more excited if the Beavs were playin Cal, but theyre not, so I have to be bitter about this game instead. When is USC going to play consistently. Everytime I look at a good recruit who wants to go to USC, I ask why?!?! All yer gonna do is win 4 games by a million points, and get everyone on yer balls, then lose to a mediocre team in another conference. Oregon State, on the other hand, theyve had to prove themselves to the world year in and year outand this year was the first year they got respect. Well heres yer chance Derek Anderson, Light up this USC defense one more gain and show the world that OSU had the real heisman candidate all along.it wasnt Joey Harrington! Phil: Oregon State, 34-24 1.8 points (Kickin' it Lounge-Style) Oh....that Pac 10...(thank you)...it's so wacky...(how ya doin' tonight?)...who knows what the H-E-Double Hockey Sticks will happen next...what a wreck! Well, here we've got the Beavers...(Eager Beavers!)...and we got them Trojans, too...(Southern Cal, friends!)...but you shouldn't ever trust them Trojans, you just don't know what Carson Palmer will do-ooh-oohooh, dooby-doo...cha-cha...I'm gonna go with...I think they'll win...on the road now!...Oregon...Staaaaaaaaate! (Thank you, folks, you're the best!) Nebraska (20), (21) at Iowa State (19), (19): Final Score: Iowa State, 36-14 GUEST SAGE KRIS: Nebraska, 30-27 6.8 points Harmon: Nebraska, 23-21 6.3 points CFN: Iowa State, 23-20 13.6 points Joe: Iowa State, 35-16 19.0 points Here it is: does Nebraska deserve a ranking? They had sure better make a statement here. The loser of this game will have two losses. I'm not sure they'll be able to hold back the Clones. They got pooped on by Penn State, and I think Iowa State may be even better. If Iowa State wins here, Seneca Wallace will most likely break into the serious Heisman contender list. This game is a really good example of what makes college football the best sport. Neither team is likely to make it to the National Championship. There's still so much to fight for though. This game is for conference ranking, team pride, BCS rankings, considerations in other bowls, the opportunity to make a statement to the country, a chance to get individual players' names on the national radar. I heart college football. G: Nebraska, 23-17 5.6 points Seneca Wallace is no pushover. He nearly brought down the former #4 ranked team in the nation. One thing that Nebraska has that FSU didnt have is a damn defense. Iowa State has a powerful passing game, and Seneca cant knock a quarter off a rhinos horn with his arm. I wouldnt be surprised if he drops a few bombs on Nebraska and everyone watching wonders why isnt this guy a heisman candidate? Ill tell ya why, his team doesnt win. If he were anywhere else, he may be up there. We all know one thingNebraska will face a lot of man today because Iowa State will stack the box to stop Lord and Diedrick and that other RB. Dont be surprised if they actually do stop them. Blitz packages were definitely installed this week in Iowa, and we will see a flurry of them come Saturday.or today in my case ;) Phil: Iowa State, 31-17 17.4 points Seneca Wallace, he's the bomb, Jammal Lord's just a tag-along! (Life with Louie commercial, FOX, old-school.) Nebraska's Blackshirts? More like Pinkshirts! No darkness on the edge of Ames on this day. Washington State (16), (18) at Cal (34), (U): Final Score: Washington State, 48-38 GUEST SAGE KRIS: Washington State, 38-14 12.4 points Harmon: Washington State, 18-14 12.8 points CFN: Washington State, 31-21 16.6 points Joe: Washington State, 28-17 15.6 points Gesser's gonna play. State's gonna win. They have one loss so far, but it's to Ohio State, my #3 Fiesta team. Cal's loss is to Air Force, an undefeated, but relatively unchallenged team. They do have an impressive win over Michigan State, but I feel that Washington State is definitely a stronger team. Charles Rogers is going to catch another 150 yards, to keep his name near the top of the Heisman list. G: Cal, 24-14 4.2 points Here we go baby! My team! The Cal Bears. GROOOWL!! I am a big fan of the underdog, and cal is no doubt, just that. Cal has cause more turnovers than the guy working the grill at the stadium (.you prolly dont get itbut trust me, its funny) Cal has to keep doing that. Turnovers win games. If Jason Gesser playsthey wont turn the ball overif he doesnt play, Cal will take this one to the house! Causing atleast 3 fumbles by the WSU RBs. Im going to assume that Jason isnt going to play.but knowing my luckhe will. Phil: Washington State, 27-23 14.6 points Jason Gesser is ailing, and I don't know if he'll play, California lost to Air Force, which makes 'em kind of gay, who will win this matchup, it's really hard to say, but I'll go with the Cougars, 'cause Mike Price is A-OK.
