Panic Room
Enter Phase 3.  Sarah is a diabetic and needs sugar, or she'll die.  Jodie tries to sneak out again, but she was set up.  The two guys get into the room, but she gets the gun, so they have to lock themselves in.  So now Jodie has to get a way in.  I guess I'll mention here that Whitaker is that "nice" bad guy, who doesn't want to hurt anyone and all that.  Bad stuff has happened to the other two so far.  One guy got shot in the head, and the other guy lost his fingers.  Oh yeah, and right after Leto got shot, there was a guy just standing at the door watching them.  He didn't try to hide or anything.  So they had to bring him in and beat the hell out of him.  Turns out, it's Jodie's husband.  So we figure he must be really successful since she can afford this house, or think that he's at least not a 60 year old hobo.  We're wrong though.  He is a 60 year old hobo.  He may be Japanese too, but we don't see his face long enough before it gets messed up.  So now Jodie needs a way to get back in, so she can get her daughter back.  The crooks get their money and just want to leave.  Some police show up at the door, and Jodie can't tell them because all those cameras are in the house, which are viewed from the room (Did I mention that yet?  Oh well....I don't care.  I'm going to give this movie the thoroughness it deserves, which isn't much).  But the police don't believer her when she says nothing is wrong.  They stand there for 3 minutes, which is 2 minutes and 40 seconds longer than a normal police officer would stand there.  Then one of them says "if there is something wrong and you can't tell us, you can blink or something".  First of all, the police wouldn't drop it, even though it wasn't very suspicious.  Second, the cameras that the bad guys have didn't have any kind of sound.  She could have told them the whole thing, but that they had to leave and act like nothing was wrong, and wait outside and come up with something.  Anyway, she apparently must have blinked, as we will find out later, but we don't get to see it.  That was the "trick" ending of this movie.  At the end, Forrest and the third guy, Raul, leave with the boy-girl as a hostage.  Forrest just wants to take his money and leave.  Jodie is a crazy woman, and bashes Raul in the face with a sledgehammer.  He falls down a couple flights of stairs.  Forrest does what any smart man would do, and gets the hell out.  Then, Raul, with one arm, after getting hit in the face and falling down the stairs, goes back up the stairs, doesn't get shot by the hobo, doesn't get sledgehammered by jodie, and starts to win against all three of them.  the girl runs up and stabs him a bunch of times with insulin, but he just punches her in the face.  Then he raises the sledgehammer over his head and finishes Jodie off.  Not really, but she deserved it.  Forrest, of course, came back, and saved the day.  He leaves dramatically after saying "it'll all be ok now".  Before he gets away though, he gets caught by the coppers.
Phase 4: Ending- in stead of just raising his hands above his head, he feels the need to pull the money ($22 million in bonds) out.  Then they tell him to drop whatever he has, and all the money blows away.  Then we don't know what happens.  They show Jodie and girl-boy looking for a new apartment.  So the moral of this story is: if a crazy guy is going to bash an innocent woman's face with a sledgehammer, don't turn around.  Take your money and walk.  Otherwise, you're going to spend the next 25 years getting ass-raped.  Or so we assume.  The dumb movie....I don't even want to wrap this up.  Just like the movie didn't.  By the way, while writing this, I was watching "Show me Love", on HBO.  This has to have some of the most realistic child acting ever.  They're not really children...they're like 15, but it's great.  Really realistic.  Also, it's about swedish lesbians.  But it's not hot swedish lesbians.  It's about these girls struggling with their identities, in high school.  I was disappointed at first, but it turned into the best movie I've seen in a little while.
