"What is THIS?" said Kagami with anger throwing a newspaper at Wei's face and staring at Assam.
Wei took one look and gulped. It was a picture of a burning house on the front cover.
"I told you to get that girl! You didn't, and set her house on fire? We don't need this kind of attention, and how about if someone saw you two hanging around there?"
"It was going well, but Tooya showed up! Why is that girl so important to you sir?" asked Wei.
"Tooya...is he harmed?" asked Kagami worried.
"No...but he betrayed..." said Wei unable to finish his sentence and cut in my Kagami.
"He is important. There's something about him that just seems different. And that girl discovered her powers so early, if she can, maybe there's more out there that can. I don't mind if you can't see how much this will help the developement of the experiments, but going around and exploding houses is not what you were ordered to do! You even killed her mother..."
"She was clumsy herself!" said Assam speaking in for Wei the first time.
"You'd better be quiet. Unless you want to take the fault for him?" After a long pause Kagami said, "I didn't think so. I will give YOU, Assam, another chance. Wei, you just focus on the needs of Shiso. He needs someone to watch over him, and keep him from going to Aya. Afterall, they were brothers and sisters, but if things get out of hand, I don't want any harm in the Tennyo inside Aya. Ceres is even more important than that Yumi girl. We made Aya's brother Aki turn, triggering Shiso to arise and totally take over for the purpose to learn more, and such an important task is given to an important person like you." smiled Kagami, though it just sounds like an excuse to get Wei doing something else.
Wei took his orders with a frown and left Kagami's office. And Assam stayed in to discuss more about how the plans in capturing Yumi Kinomoto.

Yumi was now at Mina's house, bringing Tooya with her as well. The introduction didn't take long. At first, Mina was shocked to see such a hunk with her ordinary friend, but had part of the story explained to her later.
"So, your mother owed money to some people and they burned your house down? You did go to the police right?" said Mina in shock looking at Yumi whose hair is now normal.
"Neighbors took care of that part. Seeing a flaming house, they had to call the police. And those people might want more money so its better to not show myself." said Yumi trying to keep her voice stable without showing a sign of saying a lie.
Mina looked at Yumi with a unsure face, and looked at Tooya and back to her. She asked again. "So how did you end up with HIM?"
"Well...that's a long story." said Yumi and looked at her watch. "I'm sorry to bother you Mina, we better get going. Just because you are living by yourself, doesn't mean I can barge in like this. Gomen ne!"
"No, no! If based on what you said, you are in danger. I can't let you walk out here with that guy going no where. You can both stay here, but that guy...Tooya, better keep his MIND clean!" said Mina making a big hinting statement.
"THAT, you don't have to worry about Mina san." said Tooya ready to leave.
"You're leaving?" asked Yumi sadly.
"Yes, of course. I'm not really welcomed here, and you are not too safe with me around. THEY might come to look for you again." said Tooya deliberately refusing to say anything for Yumi's friend to worry more about. Tooya took one more reasuring look at Yumi and left.
Yumi looked at the door until Mina yelled in her ears, "Are you there?"
"Ack, what? Don't have to yell, I'm not deaf."
"Well, you weren't too far from being one. I've been calling you ever since Tooya left!" said Mina with frustration then continued. "Yumi, is there something you are not telling me?"
"Mina-chan..." said Yumi almost spilling the whole story but couldn't involve her best friend she kept it in. "I am just too scared, that's all. This is all making me go into a trance to easily. Must be too much for one day." said Yumi wanting to cry but held her tears back. 'There's so much I want to tell you Mina-chan...okasan is dead, dead! What can I do? Let's start off by telling you that I have unatural powers, I'm sure you'll understand. I wouldn't be surprised if you ran off and called the police.' thought Yumi with sarcasm. "I'm getting so tired now, can I rest at the guest room of yours?"
"Yes you may." murmurred Mina worried.
"Arigatou!" exclaimed Yumi cheerfully and hip-hopped to the guest bedroom. It is there where her tears spilled onto her arms and the white sheets. Soon, her tear-dampened eyelids got heavy as she fell into a deep sleep.
**********************************************************
The next day Yumi woke up and brushed her teeth at 11:00 pm finding Mina long gone leaving a note that said, 'Your breakfast or maybe your lunch is on the table. I'll come back when school's over ne! Love Mina.' Yumi smiled at the note and walked towards the guest room again when the door bell rang. Yumi stumbled across the living room and opened the door. It was Tooya!
"Tooya! The last person I'd expect showing up here is you! I don't mean it in a bad way, I'm just surprised. Very surprised. Come in, take a seat." said Yumi pointing to the black couch on the right side from where Tooya was standing.
"Thank you. Actually I was just checking if you were alright. I should leave." said Tooya gesturing towards the door.
"No! Please don't go!" said Yumi embracing Tooya from his back.
"Yumi..."
"I know you would never like me. I wonder how Aya looks like, to tell myself I don't have a chance, but I can't help it! I need you so much Tooya...so much..."
Turning around to face Yumi, he said softly, "You are a wonderful girl Yumi. There's better guys out there, and ones with memories they can remember, own abilities they can understand, and less dangerous than me. I will always help you Yumi."
"No..." moaned Yumi. "This is not helping me. Telling me this is not going to make my feelings for you change, or make me feel any better. You say you will always help me, isn't that ironic? Are you helping me at all right now. Yes, I'm selfish, and thinking only for myself, but I can't stop it. I love you Tooya, can you love me?" whispered Yumi as she lightly circled her arms around Tooya's neck, and intertwined her lips with Tooya's tenderly.
Tooya embraces Yumi back and forced his lips against Yumi's this time, both of them falling onto the carpet. 'This feeling...like I've had with someone else...who? Another girl...long hair...Aya?' thought Tooya now filled with pain in his chest and head.
"Ah...so much pressure .." groaned Tooya putting his hand across his head.
"Tooya...don't try thinking at all. Relax...relax." said Yumi with a soothing voice holding Tooya's head against her chest. "You'll be fine once you relax." said Yumi again brushing against Tooya's hair.
"I can hear your heart, its pounding so fast."
"Shh...don't think about anything now."
The day rolled by in silence, as Yumi continued comforting Tooya, and Tooya leaning on her chest.
