I have come across many school kids who are avid hams and know much more than we do! Many public schools today have a radio club to encourage this hobby |

You will be surprised to know the person you just spoke to was an astronaut.
There are even ham-astronauts who take radios with them on space shuttle missions and thrill thousands of hams on earth with a call from space!. Some hams like to play with electronic circuits, building their own radios and antennas. A few pioneers in Amateur Radio have even contributed to advances in technology that we all enjoy today ! |
