| Home | StaffRincewind Rincewind is a completely hopeless wizard. It is a mystery how he managed to get into the Unseen University in the first place. He never score more than 2% in any test, and that was just for spelling his name nearly right. He finaly expelled from the Unseen University because of a very dangerous bet. He went into room were the Octavo, the Creatures on Grimoire, was kept and read out one of the 8 most powerful spells in the Universe. However, something unexpected happened, the spell hid itself in his head. It refused to leave him. After this it was impossible for him to lean any more spells. They were frightened of the powerful spell in his head. Rincewind is first encountered in The Colour of Magic. He dresses like a very poor wizard, but nevertheless owns the hat, robes and amulets. He earns money through his talent of languages. It is this which leads him to accompany Twoflower on many adventures. In The Colour of Magic Rincewind comes face to face with magical dragons. Sees his first witches cottage and almost gets killed a number of times. In the Light Fantastic he almost falls over the edge of the world, is hunted by wizards for the 8th spell and actually does some magic. He saves the world, but almost gets killed. In Sourcery, he does battle with Coin; his weapon: a brick and a sock, he almost gets killed. In Eric he goes to Hell, literally. In Mort he meets Alberto Malich. In Interesting Times he gets sent to the Counter Weight Continent, but not out of choice. People want to kill the Great Wizzard Again! Finaly, in Esk Esk Esk Esk he must save the world again, and more importantly avoid being killed. He is the worlds greatest coward. He longs for boredom, but with a life as full as this and with death hunting him at every turn, its completely impossible. |
