You, Yourself, and You
Are you important, in the Grand Scheme of things?  Does it matter if you breathe, live, or die?

Everyone faces this question sooner or later; especially when they see or feel tragedy.  Suddenly, the world they thought was predictable and safe becomes capricious and menacing. They lose their innocent, child-like faith.

Mankind has long sought to answer this question by reaching out to the world around him, and to the world inside him.  To find some reason; some purpose ...  some answer.
"Does it matter?"
The religions of the world have varied in their response to this question.  For some, Mankind's entire purpose is to glorify the Creator, so thoughts about yourself are unworthy.  It's all in God's hands, and none of your affair.

For some,  their God helps those who help themselves.  If there's a failing, it must be inside you ... leaving you alone on the raft if your own motivation fails you.

For some, their God is a Loving Father, reaching out His hand ... but many cannot see it, and doubt it is there.  When the Aloneness strikes, they wonder why Love would leave them alone.

"Does it matter?"

It has reverberated through the millenia.

Philosophies developed by Mankind have attempted to answer this question, often trying to maintain an objectivity that religion, by its nature, cannot.  Philosophy tries to explain this world, and our purpose, by reason.

Traditional Science goes a step farther and requires measurable proof. But because many things are still unreasonable and unproven in this physical world, Philosophy and Science can often argue Mankind into non-existence.

And so, the question remains.

Does your existence make a difference in the world?

The answer is, "Yes."
You are important.

The moment you were born, the world changed.

How?

You are a living, breathing Soul.

As a Soul, you impact everyone that comes in contact with you, just as they impact you.

And you are eternal.
