| I was spayed and front-declawed a couple of months later, before meowmie truly knew what was involved in a declaw procedure. I got a minor paw infection a few days later, but nothing serious, although I've tended to favor my right front paw ever since the declaw and infection. I've never had so much as a mild cold, but Abby has some chronic thing with her nose (she sneezes a lot and her nose starts to bleed). |
| Recently meowmie discovered that on my right front paw, the third toe pad is touching the main paw pad; and when she went to check my toes she discovered a few things. One, I have a pretty big extra flap of skin between my second and third toes. Two, the third toe has quite a bit of resistance when meowmie tries to straighten it, and hurts me when she does that. Three, the fourth toe (the outermost one) has NO resistance, and just seems to hang there useless. Meowmie and Aunt Jackie (meowmie's friend who works for the vet) think I may have broken something at some time and am just now showing any effects from it. They have no clue when this could possibly have happened! I was supposed to go see the vet a few weeks ago but meowmie's car decided to stop working so she had to get that fixed first. So maybe in a couple of weeks we'll figure out what's wrong with my foot and get it fixed. |
| I like my treats, though I'm not nuts over them like Abby and Smoky are! I just sit back and wait patiently for meowmie to give me my share. Sometimes she'll give them to me first, but usually I have to wait because if I get them first Abby and Smoky will steal them from me. I don't think that's very nice of them, because I NEVER do that, but they don't seem to remember that when it's treat time! I also love to sleep by people, especially the kids; but you won't find me near them when they're awake! |
| I just love to play. My favorite toys are the stick with the blue feathers on it, meowmie's laser pen, and the string meowmie made for me by tying together a teal bootlace and a purple bootlace (don't ask where she got them, LOL!). Of course, nothing beats a good wrestling match with Smoky! I like to wrestle with Abby too, but she doesn't do that much because she's older and she's just too darn fat! |
| Meowmie thinks I'm so cute and friendly that I should be in a cat show; what do you think? I could only enter a TICA show because I don't have my front claws anymore, and I could only be in the Household Pet category because I'm not a purebred; but meowmie and I still think it would be a lot of fun! I haven't done too well in the online photo contests that meowmie's entered me in, but meowmie always says that you have to meet me to truly appreciate my beauty, cameras just can't capture it all! |

| Here I am watching Abby give some kisses to Smoky. Sometimes she fakes him out and tackles him instead, I try to stay well out of the way when she does that! |
