Welcome to my page!  I'm Kasidy Yates, but my meowmie likes to call me Kiss-Kiss because I will give kisses for hours if she lets me!  I was born in late 1998 in western North Carolina, either in or near a town named Charlotte.  That makes me about 3 1/2 years old, I'll turn 4 probably in October of this year.
This is Claws, she belongs to meowmie's inlaws.  She's a little older than me, maybe a few months (if that even).  We were best friends when my family lived with meowmie's inlaws for almost two years!
I was about three months old when my meowmie rescued me from a shelter in Monroe NC; she had brought in a dog that she'd adopted, that wasn't working out, and asked to trade him in on a "feline" model!  LOL  He was a beauty, even for a dog; a 130-lb. white German Shepherd.  But he liked to wreak havoc whenever meowmie and the family left him alone.  In just one hour he did over FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS of damage, which included several jackets (one irreplaceable) and the baby's wicker bassinet!
When meowmie came into the cat room to select one of us, it was our lunchtime.  But unlike the others, I knew where my priorities lay; in finding my FOREVER home!  They just ignored her, but not me.  Heck, I can eat any time; but this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.  I went right up to the bars of that cage and purred for all it was worth!  And you know, it worked; meowmie actually had her eye on the orange tabby next door to me but he didn't know any better, he looked at her and went back to eating.  So she told them that she would take me, and hasn't regretted it since!
Meowmie let me ride on the front seat all the way home, since the one carrier she owned was broken.  It was a blast; my favorite spot was her lap though, the seat just wasn't as comfy!  When she brought me home she introduced me to Abby (who's 5 years older than me) and Tasha (who's 6 years older than me).  They didn't like me much at first, I sure did NOT feel at all welcome!  After a couple of weeks they started playing with me and kissing me though, so meowmie knew we would be okay together!
I'm the silly one of the family; always have been and probably always will be!  My favorite spot in our home in NC was in the bathroom sink, it was so nice and cool!  But one time meowmie forgot to tell me that she was soaking a stained baby outfit in there and I jumped in and got the shock of my life!  I got my first bath that day, so meowmie could get all the laundry soap off of me; I never did that again!
