Greetings from Szczecin, Poland! Today is . I have been here for about 6 months and am really enjoying it. When I found out about this assignment I didn't even know we had a base in Poland. And technically, we don't. I work for a NATO unit and not a traditional Air Force unit on a traditional Air Force base.
When I told people where I was going the most common response was "Poland?!?!?!?!?" One person even asked me if Poland was still a country! Yes it is.
