This one is very very different from their previous albums. It has a heavy and dark feeling about it.
I am not so impressed over this album though, because it doesn�t include a single happy song, an album needs that, that is a fact! And every track has a sad feeling in it. But some songs are very strong and saves this album from the "funeral category". 7 p
A major turn for a-ha. In this song the adult modern style is complete.
The sound of this song is great and the change of style holds. 7 p
Move To Memphis
This is the second version of the song that was released and definately the best, with the female chorus it turns into an OK song, with a cool video. 6 p
Cold As Stone
A strong and long song (it rhymes!) that makes you feel dark and moody. The guitar parts are nothing but excellent! The singing is also at a high standard (as always). 10 p
Angel In The Snow
Perhaps one of a-ha�s most charming songs ever. This is the wedding song Paal wrote to Lauren and that shows, it is full of love and that is a very good reason to listen to it twice a day. 9 p
Locust
A bit TOO moody and mysterious for my taste. 5 p
Lie Down In Darkness
A dark and catchy song that really doesn�t move me at all. The female chorus makes a comeback, that�s good. 4 p
How Sweet It Was
A real album track that is way too long and way too boring. 3 p
Lamb To The Slaughter
Magne�s best song! This one has great lyrics and a wonderful refrain, all in all a very good song! 8 p
Between Your Mama And Yourself
What the heck is Morten doing? The vocals and lyrics on this song is very strange. A weak song that doesn�t sound like a-ha. I can barely listen to this! 2 p
Memorial Beach
A-ha�s most beautiful song ever! Everything is right. The lyrics and music are wonderful and Morten does his greatest performance ever! Some parts even makes me cry. Thank heaven for a-ha! The clearest 10 pointer of `em all!
