What is PCS?
Personal Communications Services (PCS) allows wireless person-to-person
communications, regardless of location. Cellular and paging are
examples of Bell Mobility's first PCS services. Now, the next
generation of PCS -- Digital PCS -- is here. Digital PCS provides
a new level of wireless service that includes superior call quality,
longer battery life, greater privacy, better network reliability
and many advanced features and services.
What is Digital PCS?
Digital PCS gives you all that cellular has to offer plus a whole
lot more. It uses powerful digital technology to provide superior
call quality, longer battery life, greater privacy, better network
reliability and many advanced features and services. You can still
enjoy the extensive coverage available with Bell Mobility's regular
analog cellular network. Whether you're at home or the office,
at work or at play, Digital PCS gives you more freedom of movement
than ever before.
Where is Digital PCS available?
Digital PCS is available in Ontario from Oshawa to Fort Erie,
north of Toronto to Cookstown. In Quebec, Digital PCS coverage
now includes seamless digital PCS service from Quebec City to
Montreal (via highway 20), and from Montreal to Ottawa (via highway

At what point does Bell Mobility start charging customers
for the phone calls made from a mobile phone?
Bell Mobility starts the clock on a phone call as soon as a customer
presses the 'SEND' button. If the call is connected, our
customer will be billed for the call. However, if the call is
not connected, our customer will not be billed for the time they
were on the phone.
Why does Bell Mobility charge customers from the moment
they press 'SEND'?
The Bell Mobility mobile phone network is similar to a radio
network in that it transmits phone calls via voice-channels over
radio. When a Bell Mobility customer presses the 'SEND'
button, they are using a voice-channel to send the call. Because
Bell Mobility sells airtime (or voice-channels), we charge our
customers for the use of that voice-channel, whether the customer
is talking to someone or simply waiting for a call to be answered.
