| So once again valentines day had arrived (as it has the tendency to do, time being linear and all), and I found myself w/out a date. I handled it as any logical person would: I asked my cat if she would be my valentine since we were both single. She agreed (ok, she didn't say 'no'...), and I decided that we should make each other cards as symbols of our affection for one another. I gathered together the construction paper, a coupla pairs of scissors (safety ones for her, taking into account the lack of opposing thumbs), glue, glitter, and stickers. Through much dedication and labor I soon had a perfect origami rendition of The Birth of Venus, replacing the conk shell w/a large heart and "I love you" in glittered letters across it. I turned eagerly to both show her my card and to receive the token of her love for me. Much to my disappointment, she had only chewed on the corner of her paper for awhile, then fallen asleep. I woke her, and told her that she was being insensitive and hurting my feelings, but she only licked her butt in response. I cried, she went back to sleep. To avoid a future reoccurance of said day, I'm writing this ad. Oh, realitivily cute, goatee, lean build, fingers, eyes, body, what have you. I love music, reading, philosophy, live concerts, catching a beer w/my friends, screaming at the walls, the usual. Oh, and coffee, love coffee and cigarettes. Look and act younger than I am. Struggling writer (not poet), work in a book store, am getting tired of talking about myself, wondering how much room I have in this little box thingie... Match Description A cute girl who enjoys both serious and not so serious conversation. Someone who enjoys the little moments in life while working for a better future. Someone who's tolerant. Who likes movies or the theatre, not tv. Can I just find someone who loves both Emmy Lou Harris and Husker Du? Is that too much to ask? Sorry, where was I? Someone who might still have bagage, but knows when to leave it at home. This is what happens when you hit a creative block late at night and are bored. Someone who recoginizes the difference between youthful and immature. Someone who knows what she wants, appreciates what she has, and is prepared to work for both. And if she has a nice little posterior end, all the better. There, I said it. Now I'm a pig, are you happy? |
