MATERIALS:

740-2 Dry Brush, 740-4 Dry Brush, 740-6 Dry Brush, #4 Fan Brush ,980-6 Round Brush, Kleen Up Tool, Sponge, Standard Music Box, Stylus, 2 1/2" Plastic Turntable.





2835 & 2836 Bears Phonograph brown

Prepare greenware carefully removing all seam lines. Replace any detail lost in the cleaning. Fire to witness cone 05.

STEP 1-- Using the #6 Round apply 2 coats of Clear Glaze to the following areas: Hinges brackets trim on the front plate, the entire horn except the bands and the "U' shaped piece Fire to witness cone 06.
STEP 2-- Using the brush reserved for Gold apply Liquid Bright Gold to all the glazed areas Fire In a well ventilated kiln to witness cone 018. Clean brushes with Essence.
STEP 3-- Using the #4 Fan Brush apply Dutch Chocolate to the entire piece. Wipe back the excess with a damp sponge and allow to dry.
STEP 4-- Drybrush the following areas with the designated colors using the size drybrush most appropriate to the area which you are working.
Box panels: Berry Stain, then stipple Primrose to the panels by pouncing in an up and down motion to the Berry areas.
Box edges and trim: Congo Brown then lightly with Fudge to highlight.
Bears:Fudge followed by Gingerbread then highlighted with ivory.
Snouts: Lightly with ivory.
Cheeks:Tip the ivory brush into angel blush then apply to the cheeks and buttocks.
Flowers and bowtie: Primrose highlighted with white.
Pearls,collar,flower centers and the trim on the horn: White.
STEP 5-- Apply Coal Black to all the eyes and to the noses. Apply highlights of White to all eyes. Let dry. Apply No Fire Gloss to all eyes.
STEP 6-- Apply 2 coats of Golden Sunlight Shimmers to the design area on the horn. Refer to the photo. Allow to dry.
STEP 7-- Using 980-6 apply Coal Black to the top and side of the 2 1/2 �plastic disc, this may require 2 coats. Allow to dry.Using the #4 Fan Brush lightly apply White to the top of the disc to give the appearance of a record. Glue your favourite music box tune into the base and attach the disc. Glue the pieces to the disc.
