The Hispanic Heritage Awards Foundation has announced its 2004 Honorees. The 6 Hispanc leaders are to be celebrated at the star-studded Kennedy Center Ceremony on September 10, 2004 which is to be broadcast on NBC and Telemundo.

John has officially joined the cast of the new film Alibi along with other names such as Selma Blair and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos. Directed by newcomers Matt Chechowski and Kurt Mattila, Alibi is set to begin shooting this week in LA.

John was spotted dancing up a storm at Andres Carne de Res a famous night spot in Bagota Columbia. He and his family were visiting Johns home town only the day after he wrapped shooting scenes for his movie Cronicas in Equador.

Keep your eyes peeled for 2 of John's new projects. Sueno, a romantic comedy about a man wrapped up in a strange love triangle is set to be released later this year. Cronicas, a dramatic thriller set in Equador is just wrapping up post-production now.

John has been signed up to play a role in "Assault on Precinct 13" a remake of the 1976 Thriller. Set in a present day police precinct that is about to be shut down that is taken over by a mobster and his crew on a new years eve night. Ethan Hawke and Lawrence Fishurne will also star. Still unknown what role John will be playing in the film, more information will be posted when aquired.

John has signed a 7 figure deal with CBS to help create and star in an action thriller series. His deal will make him one of the highest paid Latino's on television. John didn't have much interest in doing a sitcom "The sitcom is sort of like vaudville, it's come and gone, it's had it's time." He also decided to take the job in order to be in one location to spend more time with his children. There is a possiblity that Nathan Lane will be joining the cast. CBS plans to have the project developed for the 2002-2003 season.

The HBO movie "Point of Origin" will be premiering tonight. The movie is about a firefighter (Ray Liotta) trying to catch and arsonist (Played by John Leguizamo), and is based around true events. The movie premieres tonight at 8pm on HBO.

John will make his behind the camera debut when he co-directs and starts in HBO's "Infamous". He will direct with Enrique Shadyac, and will also executive produce. The script was written by Frank Pugliese, from a story written by Kathy DeMarco and John Leguizamo himself. Shooting begins August 5th in Gotham.

John almost didn't make it back from the Oscars. On an American Airline flight from LA to New York a storm kicked up before their landing and he was stranded in the sky for a few hours until the storm broke. Other celebrities on the plane were Matt Damon, Summer Phoenix, Casey Affleck and Samantha Mathis.
