Hair Accessories Trends

In today's Most popular hair accessories are barrettes, bobby pins, hair pieces, hair sticks and hair coil, jaw clip, pinch clip, ponytail made from natural wood, metal or plastic with Austrian crystal decoration.

In 1970's hair accessory were clip-on suspenders. 70's version hair accessories was wide, at least two inch suspenders, generally with rainbows or anything way colorful hair clip. Silver cheap metal hair clips. Found first pair in 1974. In Alabama.

In 1980's fashion hair accessories were Faz. It was plastic Jewelry and hair accessories you made yourself with the "Faz" kit. Usually big and bright, I remember making one that was rectangle and blue with yellow designs on it for my hair.

In 1990's hair accessory were butterfly clips. These became popular in 1998-1999. Little plastic butterfly clips that girls of all ages wore by the gross in their hair. The typical way of wearing them was to part your hair in several different places and to clip each section of hair so that the butterflies would be all in a row on top of your head.
