RESEARCH
EXPERIENCE
Conducting independent research on the analytical potential in data collected from instrumented training. Preliminary results were presented at the 2005 MORS Symposium. Further results will be presented at a later date.
Designed an armor plating system that could be locally manufactured for the HMMWV (humvee) while in Iraq. After fabrication, the armor plate could be bolted on to the underside, doors and running board of the HMMWVs in order to provide protection from roadside bomb attacks. Over $30,000 worth of this armor plate was eventually purchased by the U.S. Army and was installed on over 100 vehicles in 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division.
Researched packet switching networks. Conceived and coded a general-purpose network simulator. Tested various switching protocols and outlined areas for further research relating to networks and complex adaptive systems in a paper and talk presented to the USMA Mathematics Department. Awarded the Department’s prize for the Best Senior Research Project
Awarded the
