draiodoir.jpg (78973 bytes) Draíodóir:  Draíodóir is a Syndarin Wizard stationed in Greyhome.  He is also the oldest PC having endured Fäedór for over a century and a half, but far from old as far as elves go.  He was actually born on Tol Taurea and studied in studied as an apprentice in one of the great wizardry academies there before undertaking a wanderlust.  He has a curiosity, borderline obsession, with arcane knowledge and magicks that led him to Greyhome.  He, however, sees Greyhome as a stopover point on his way to Sylvas, which he would love to study intricately, despite its apparent destruction.  Though most at home in a library, he knows that the greatest learning comes from experience and observation.
     Draíodóir is highly intelligent and intuitive, but his weakness is very apparent.  His endless studies have left him with a severe lack of brawn.  Lucky for him, he has found a back up to his spells in the long bow, of which he is an average shot. 

Eolande Thea'Vreahl:  Eolande was young enough when the city of Sylvas fell that his memories of the grand and shining city are vague.  Unfortunately, his memories of the fall itself are anything but.  His family, mostly intact in that traditionally his family tended more to the roles of craftsmen and woodsmen rather than warriors or magic wielders, trickled away in pairs and trios to the refuge of Tol Taurea.  Finally came the day when his parents announced that they, too, would seek solace in that haven, an idea which Eolande opposed bitterly and voraciously.  Because of either the nightmares which still haunt him, or perhaps simply the vigor of youth, the elf turned from his family and swore that he would never leave the Sylvan Forest.  Synderin he may be, but he refused to flee his home.

    Fortunately, before he managed to get himself killed, Eolande was taken under the wing of a kindly Solastrian Knight.  The young Elf's love and respect for his mentor, Celeste Thea'Vreahl was such that he adopted her surname and became, for all practical purposes, her son.  To this day he is bitter over her death, only four years past, and has resolved with a cold decisiveness quite uncharacteristic of him that he will continue her work.  If the Solastrian Knighthood will take him, so much the better, if not, well, he is young and idealistic, and while he isn't young enough to believe that he alone can face the Mesmeratim, he -is- idealistic enough to die trying to do just that.


Fingolf Sharstenstar: Fingolf's family traces its lineage back to the founding of Sylvas.  They were the defenders of this fair Elven City, until it was destroyed by the Mesmeratim.  Fingolf's father was killed in defense of the city and his mother had to flee to Syndar .  When the Mesmeratim came to Sylvas, Fingolf was in the forest practicing his swordplay  alone, since he was from a warrior tradition, when he was struck with the vision of Sylvas' destruction.  He then received a calling from Pontos Solastrian, an elven demi-god, once founder of Sylvas itself, who called him to be one of his paladins and to strive to rid Fäedór of the Mesmeratim that had destroyed the most beautiful city in the world.  He went to Syndar with the fleeing Syndarin elves and began his training.
    As a follower of Pontos Solastrian he will never retreat to Tol Taurea, but rather spend his life defending the Syndarin from the Mesmeratim in the hope that one day the continent will be rid of the infestation.


Gildian:  Gildian is a Sylvan Sentinel, a member of an ancient and insular druidic order.  He receives his strength from the forest and the earth and is sworn as its protector.  Gildian inscribes runes on himself in the form of the powers he wishes Gaia, the source of the Sylvan Sentinel's power, to bestow upon him.  To others, he appears to bear many arcane-looking tattoes, but these are the symbols necessary for his casting of spells.  As he casts a spell, the tattoo fades away.  Gildian is currently on his "Vision Quest" a "Rite of Passage" where a young sentinel learns an empathy for nature.


Zander:  Zander is a Sylvan Elf Ranger.  His father was skilled with the sword and his mother was skilled as a druid, the blending of the two help to produce his occupation.  His father met his doom against the Mesmeratim first and his mother fled with the 100 year-old Zander away from the advancing mist.  Zander then lost his mother to an orc  raid some 20 years later.  
     Zander then went to live with is uncle in Moonshadow where he spent much of his time reading in his uncle's library.  His was especially fond of the the legends and stories surrounding the Sylvan Tigers.  Refusing to believe that the stalwart defenders of Sylvas would have been so easily defeated by the Mesmeratim, he decided to go forth in search of them.  His search has led him to Greyhome.
