Star Wars. I love Star Wars. There is not a game out there that I love more. A wonderful blend of raw strategy and creativity, combined with the obvious appeal of the George Lucas universe makes for quite a card game. I started berating my brother for playing the game, back in 1996, and about a month later, I was buying up packs with every dollar I had to spare. I played with my friend MJ, and since then, he has been my primary opponent. We've tested one another time and time again, and increased the level of play on a regular basis.
However, recently, my Star Wars CCG days have fallen on hard times. My favorite comic shop that hosted tournaments closed, and MJ has been on hiatus as of late, finding the world of Everquest a bit more entertaining than anything else. Additionally, I heard it through the grapevine that he has a woman now, possible death knell to his Star Wars playing days. Hopefully I will find another worthy opponent, but I am not holding my breath. These days, I just trade and buy cards, and try to complete my collection.

9/7/2001 - Just had a wonderful idea. I've not purchased more than one pack of each of the recent releases, so I haven't yet played with the Tatooine cards, the Coruscant card, let alone the Naboo cards. And it is separately playable. So, I figured, I ought to purchase a box of each of those, and then persuade my brother to do the same. Instant ferocious competition. I figure it would require an investment of $200, so he is not entirely taken by the idea. So, Charlie, if you're listening, do it... Additionally, Boyles and MJ, I want to buy you out.
