Hi, John:
Nice to meet you! Sorry you don't have any answers because I don't have any
for you either. :))
Yes it is Bluford Haynes. We have a copy of a page from not sure if it was
Louis' or his mother's family Bible with all their names and birthdays. If
you don't have all the names and birth dates of Bluford and Lurany Haynes and
their children I'll give them to you.
I can also expand on Louis' and Mary LaBaume Haynes children with all their
names and birth dates.
Trying to verify our descendancy from Jose de LaBaume is what I've been
trying to do ever since I read Mary Haynes' booklet. It sure would be nice
to prove. As well as Lurany's actual relationship to the James family. We
went to Missouri this past summer looking for both Bluford and Lurany's
marriage and her relation to the J's family. We didn't find either. We
went to the James farm and there was one interesting thing we did find.
There is a picture hanging in the old farmhouse of Jesse's sister in her
later years. My husband and I both thought it could have been a Haynes
cousin, Loys Conner Carrigan.
There were supposedly several letters written to different members of
Haynes/LaBaume family from Zerelda about her two boys. I only knew of one
until just recently and it was supposed to have been sent to Louis. Of
course, it can no longer be found in order to verify anything.
Also, are you sure John Exib was born at Eden? I have he was born at
Copperas Cove and he is buried at Eden. He was on his way somewhere on the
bus and got off the bus there to eat breakfast and died of a heart attack
right there in the restaurant. He had no identification on him and was
going to be buried there as a John Doe until a nice who lived at Eola
happened to be in town that day and like all the other curious people went
to have a looksee and just happened to know him. At least that's what I've
heard anyway.
I am also looking for pictures of LaBaume's and Haynes'. I have a copy of
Louis and Mary Magdaline LaBaume Haynes when they are very young - perhaps a
wedding picture, if you would like a copy. Also, some of the boys and some
of the girls, but the girls is from their later years. I would like some
from when they were younger. I don't have any LaBaume pictures except the
one of Mary Magdaline.
Sorry, didn't mean to turn this into another book.
Linda
