John Cree has been performing professionally for the past
15 years. He is a seasoned singer songwriter with a soulful
voice and fronts an acoustic duo called "CREE".
They have been together since 1997 and are very popular
touring the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland Areas.
John does mainly Percussion and Lead Vocal as well as Acoustic
Rhythm Guitar.
John's influences include, but are not limited to: The
Allman Brothers, Edwin McCain, Sister Hazel, Marvin Gaye,
The Counting Crows, Warren Haynes, The Black Crowes and
Keb Mo.
John is currently studying Afro-Cuban Rhythms with (World
Renowned Percussionist) Pablo Batista.
Pablo has toured and recorded with the late Grover Washington
Jr., from 1985 until Grover's passing in 1999. For over
15 years Pablo has performed and recorded with such artists
as: Jeffery Osborne, Teddy Pendergrass, and Gerald Veasley
to name a few. Presently, he is the percussionist for the
five-time Grammy recipient, Alicia Keys.
John is currently working with a side project, named "WOLFE".
They are an edgy, adventurous, boundary pushing quartet,
which is fronted by Todd Wolfe, former lead guitar player
as well as occasional song writing partner for A&M's
multiple Grammy Winner, Sheryl Crow for 6 Years. "WOLFE"
has shared the bill with the likes of Buddy Guy, Jimmy Vaughn,
Derrick Trucks (Presently with The Allman Brothers), Dickey
Betts (Formally with The Allman Brothers), Kenny Wayne Sheppard,
The Allman Brothers, Black Crowes, Blues Traveler, Peter
Frampton, Sonny Landreth, Mountain, Johnny Winter, Wishbone
Ash, and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers to name a few. Between
touring and recording commitments, Wolfe continues to play
dates from coast to coast and across the Atlantic.
