| K 12 In order to know wether the language development of children is normal and what kind of stages could be observed, a set of intermediate goals is constructed. The Dutch National Center for Language Education constructed the goals. For inservice training two CD-ROM's with internet connection were constructed, showing the stages and the basic theory behind it. As a projectmanager for the CD-ROM production I learned that this medium is a powerful tool for post graduate and inservice training. It also facilitates e-learning. |

| University/School of Education. An e-learning environment for pre-service education, where students practice how to deal with norms and values. As a hybrid product it has video anchors from which students start discussing and learning on the Internet, in books and of course in their classrooms. There is a special part for children, enabling them to discuss about moral problems As one of the originators of the project I learned about the possibilities of e-learning environments for moral education. Research after the effects of the environment has been done by the Radboud University ( Nijmegen). |

| K12 A large e-learning environment for children,dealing with language education is under construction. It provides a lot of authentic learning situations, supported by ICT. Some tools: a digital national newspaper, a digital encyclopedia, a digital dictionary. All made by and for children themselves. Two storyrooms are at the heart of the environment: one for knowledge and one for phantasy stories. Together with the learning environment MILE (for teachers) a new powerful tool for language education is available. As one of the originators of the project I am surprised about the ways children learn in authentic situations, supported by ICT. |
