CONGRATULATIONS to Bob Chiarelli on his win, retaining his seat as Mayor of Ottawa. I want to thank Bob for being a worthy opponent and gentleman during the campaign. I also want to thank all the other candidates, and wish them the best. They all ran successful campaigns. Thank you to the 2000 + voters who felt my platform was the strongest. It took a lot of courage to choose from this field of 8, and I appreciate your support immensely. I look forward to the next election and running a stronger campaign. With a base support of this many to build upon, I believe things will only become better when facing future challenges. I look forward to the next 3 years and running in the next election. Welcome to mayoral candidate John Bell's election platform and contact page. I thank you for taking the time to visit my site, and hope that you will find it informative as to my election platform. I wanted to construct a straight forward, no nonsense web site that allows the citizens of Ottawa to view the issues I wish to address. I also would like this page to describe my personality for those people that do not know who I am. There is an events page that describes upcoming debates or articles that might be of interest to yourself concerning my election platform. This site will also contain my contact information via the internet for any questions or issues you might wish to bring to light.
I am an industrious and honest person. I do not play by the usual rules of politicking. I am truly an independent candidate with a mind for change on how your tax dollars are spent by the new government. I am not afraid of confrontation, for I entertain ideas put forth by others before judging them.
I look forward to this election of 2003, and presenting views that I believe will improve your city for years to come.
