John had already been reaching for broader horizons when these comics found an entirely new, receptive audience the previous fall. Now encouraged and confident by the success of MC Comics, he was ready to introduce some of these ideas. Silver City Comics #1, released on Valentine's Day 1979, was a ready attempt to showcase new concepts, channel John's "Student Temple" philosophy, and yet recycle their banned cash-cow character, Curti-Girl. All told, it didnt turn out so bad in the end...
