THIS IS IT!! Actually, the 'third-earth' concept had been germinating in Beers's mind for weeks before the eventual development of the Silver City title. As noted, many ideas finally coalesced into one form to produce what would be ultimately one of MC's most substantiated series, in spite of its relatively short run.
