By this time, drug culture was firmly entrenched in MC's and Ethical Comix' content. By late 1978, references to various chemically altered conditions began to appear in the stories, at the same time when Scot Mills and John Beers became curious themselves (Ego Family #1, an earlier Ethical issue, had one of the first marijauna scenes in any of these comics).
