Mills' Funny Book came out in the Summer of 1980, after Scot Mills had already drawn for years and contributed to dozens of stories. What we have here is Mr. Mills' distinctive style in its purest, undiluted form--- literally, the essence of M.C.'s comic book style in general. In the past, when he had tried other, contrived styles and conventions of drawing, he was never completely pleased with the results. The main reason for his creation of the Ethical Comix line was freedom to express his creations unrestrained, and without the tension between his and John Beers' diverging editorial principles. He succeeds masterfully in this solo issue.
P.S.-- "This is one funny motherfucker, and this is a funny book, too"
