| I started mainly with oil on hardboard in one sitting, but as I experiment I get more and more into acrylic and alternate media. I don't really embrace any particular style but instead try something a little different each time. I got a late start (2002, in my mid-thirties). This is just a hobby. I'm self taught. This isn't for money, in fact I give most paintings away, but I do retain copyrights. Why do it? Fun, self expression, personal challenge. It's a good use of free time. I keep a sequential portfolio of everything I've made (a catalog raisonne). To me that is one of the more valuable outcomes of my hobby. It's like a slide show from a long vacation. Also it shows where each project falls in my progression as an artist and hopefully the value of each project will be boosted by that. Some artists who have inspired me: Painters Michel Delacroix and Vincent Van Gogh; Drawers Nancy Lopez and Saul Lopez; Photographer Kenro Izu; Carvers Grinling Gibbons and Wayne Barton. Thanks for showing an interest. |

| A mix of oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, and casein. Sometimes oilbar, pastels, colored pencils, pens, markers, charcoal, etc. On rare occasion collage, carving, and other whimsies. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| I'll spare them the listing here, except for Nancy (my love) and Tiger (my cat). | |||||||||||||||||||||
