Laguna de los Tres - Laguna Sucia |

Laguna de los Tres is just a superb place for seeing magestic scenery. The Laguna per se is just a small lake, but the glacier water is quite clear (see above to the left) and cold to bath in. In the other valley below the Laguna the 'dirty lake', Laguna Sucia, has a more green shade and the water is constantly bombarded by pieces of ice falling down from the superior glacier (see above to the right). The latter photo was taken from a small peak that I climbed to get a better view of the surroundings. Anna chose to stay down by the Laguna de los Tres (see the view towards her below). |

We went back to tent and ended a perfect day with one of the best meals on the whole journey (Tortellini). January 9, 2000, will probably be remembered as the best touristic day in my life. |
