1. Most exchange students go home with a mixed feeling. A feeling of happiness to be able to meet all your family members and friends again, but also the feeling of sadness as you will leave the country that you�ve called home for the past year.
2. Never expect anything to stay the same, although they might still be the same. Things that you�ve enjoyed before might not be as enjoyable and likewise.
3. Don�t feel left-out when people you are close with begin to talk about things that you cannot really associate with anymore. The same time, people will most probably not want to listen to your stories from your year abroad. As with almost all exchange students that had returned home, nobody wants to listen to their experience, even if they want to listen to them, they wouldn�t fully understand them. |
