Chapter 17
“Oh my God, That was amazing,” Brandi said as they walked backstage after the concert. “Look at me! I’m shaking! They were awesome. I mean I knew they were awesome, but live, they’re just…guh.”
Melissa looked at her younger sister and smiled. “Yeah, I told you they were amazing. Of course, I’m surprised you could hear a thing as loudly as you were screaming.”
“Hey, I…Dammit, I had a teenie moment! I’m permitted, by God. I’ve been a fan forever. So, bite me!”
She smiled “Yes, I suppose you are allowed a certain amount of teenieness. After all, you loved them when they were cheesy,” she said.
“Yeah, I…hey,” she said laughing.
Once they met up with the others, they decided to go out on the town again. Melissa, once more, only wanted to go back to the hotel with Joey. She went though, knowing full well she would be able to sneak away in a short time. She hoped it would be a VERY short time, or she might end up following him into the bathroom for a quick romp. She smiled wickedly at this thought. She had always been a bit of an exhibitionist, but there was just something about Joey that brought it out of her. She didn’t care where they were or who knew. She wanted him.
“Ok,” he said interrupting her thoughts. “I know that smile. What’s on your mind?”
“Oh, you’ll find out,” she said, teasing him.
By the time they pulled up to the club, Steve was already there with a dozen or so girls who flirted openly with the men. One buxom blonde even came up to Joey while he was holding Melissa’s hand. She squeezed between them, breaking their contact.
Melissa couldn’t believe anyone would be so bold. Her first instinct was one of jealousy. She wanted to yank out her teased, bleached hair by the roots. ‘I’d be doing her a favor,’ she thought. ‘Look at those split ends.’ Sure, she was being catty, but she had every right to be. She was here with him and this bimbo just thought she would make it her business to try and take him.
She knew, though, that really she didn’t have that right. She wasn’t his girlfriend. She was only his date, if that’s what you wanted to call it. She was one of Joey’s girls. She was the one he was currently having sex with; that was all. Who knew who might fill her place in a week? It didn’t matter that she was falling in love with him. It was what it was. Still she found it extremely difficult to fight the urge to pummel the bitch who stood between them, flaunting her cleavage.
Lance saw Melissa fighting temptation. He wasn’t certain of the thoughts running through her mind, but he knew who they were directed at. “C’mon,” he said, grabbing her arm. “Let’s dance.”
Melissa looked once more at Joey who was looking back at her. It was hard to interpret his expression. Was he upset that she had witnessed this? Maybe he’d been just hoping something like this wouldn’t happen until she was gone. He did care for her. She knew that much. He wouldn’t purposely want to hurt her, but he knew this was part of his life, and so did she. Then again, maybe he wished she wasn’t here so that he could take her back to the hotel with him. She was fairly pretty under the caked on makeup and quite obviously willing.
Melissa was confused. Her thoughts didn’t make any sense and that was frustrating to her. She was accustomed to having her emotions in check for the most part. Sure, she cried at sappy movies and a Hallmark commercial every now and then, but generally, she thought she was quite logical. Since the night that Joey had walked into her life, though, logic was out the window.
Reluctantly, she followed Lance onto the crowded dance floor. “Don’t worry,” he said loudly to be heard over the pounding music. “She’s not you.”
‘Whatever the hell that means,’ she thought. “I know Lance. I know that he can’t very well tell her to back off. You guys are all so accessible. That’s why y’all have so many fans. But I just can’t believe that she had the nerve to jump between us like that. I shouldn’t have let her,” she said as she leaned in closer.
Lance smiled. “Don’t worry. I guarantee before this song is over, he’ll be here, jumping between US.”
Melissa smiled against Lance’s stubble-covered face. “I might as well get used to it Lance,” she said as they swayed to the music together. “There will always be some phony blonde ready to do whatever he wants, just to say that she’s slept with Joey Fatone. And after tomorrow, he’ll be free to do that. Hell, he’s free right now. He’s not mine. He’ll never be mine,” she said as a tear ran from her eyes and down Lance’s chin.
“Melissa,” Lance said, stroking her hair, “It’s ok. It’s not gonna happen. I’ve been watching you two and I’ve come to a conclusion. There’s not gonna be a new girl next week. He loves you. He may not know it yet, but he does.”
“That’s sweet, Lance. I think you’re reading too much into it, though. He doesn’t want to hurt me.”
Lance simply shook his head. He knew there was no need to argue. She wouldn’t allow herself to believe that Joey might actually feel something for her. Not until she heard him say it. Lance would have to work on that, he thought.
Melissa continued to dance closely to Lance as she watched Joey and the blonde. She noticed he danced against her, swaying to the club music blaring through the speakers. Her arms were around his neck and his were around her waist. He wasn’t as sexual with the blonde as he was when he danced with Melissa though, and she could see that he was watching her. Maybe Lance was right. Maybe he did feel something. But could it even be possible for Joey to love her? She sighed heavily. Why did things have to be so complicated? Leave to her to fall in love with a commitment-phobic pop star, she thought with a sigh.
As they danced, she thought of how glad she was that she had Lance to talk to. He was a great listener and it helped that he knew Joey so well. She smiled again as she uttered a thank you into Lance’s ear. He looked up, and moving his head back, nodded with a smile.
Joey watched the woman he was falling in love with dance with his best friend. He knew that Lance would never do anything to damage the friendship that the two men shared. First, that just wasn’t Lance’s style. He and Joey had been friends for a long time. Secondly, they all had an agreement when it came to women. No matter how much they wanted to, they would not go after a girl someone else had feelings for. They were friends and friends didn’t do that. They called it their “bros before hoes” pact.
A part of Joey was a little jealous, though. He saw how well they got along and how comfortable they were with one another. He saw Melissa whisper in Lance’s ear, then giggle. At that moment, he wanted more that anything to walk over and interrupt them. He wanted to be the one holding her closely, kissing her face and neck. He grew hard just thinking about it.
Suddenly, he remembered the blonde in his embrace. She rubbed against him, looking up into his eyes. Normally, he’d have welcomed it, but tonight, she was the last thing he wanted. Her hands slid down his body to his waist and around the front of his body. She slowly attempted to drop her right hand into Joey’s pocket. “What’s this?” she said, raising an eyebrow as she came into contact with the soft material of Melissa’s panties. When she left after their last escapade, he’d found them and put them there.
“Oooh, nothing,” he said quickly, backing up as he removed her hand. “Uhm, Tracie, it was great to meet you. I hope you had a good time at the show,” he said fumbling for words.
“Oh, I did, but you don’t have to go,” she said looking into his eyes as she smiled seductively. “We could go back to my place. I’ve got a huge room all to myself all night long,” she said, batting her thick lashes.
“Oh, I’ll be around here for a while,” he lied with a wink. “I’ve gotta make a pit-stop. I swear, this beer just goes right through me.” He smiled as he gave her a hug before walking away as she stood, looking dejectedly at his retreating back.
Joey quickly made his way across the floor. He noticed his previous dance partner still watching him, so he thought he’d better go ahead and make a temporary exit. He walked up behind Melissa who was still dancing close to Lance. Putting his hands around her waist, he pulled her close, showing his evident desire. “I’ll be right back,” he whispered in her ear before kissing her neck long enough to give her shivers up and down her spine.
“Told ya so,” Lance said smiling, as Joey withdrew. “Songs not even over yet, and here he is. Actually, I need to head that way myself. And it looks like Justin is headed over here. He probably wants to get a dance in before Joey steals you away.”
Lance was right. As soon as Justin joined her, he began to move to the rhythm of the slow, sensual music. Melissa had always had a natural rhythm and they moved together naturally. He gave a cocky smile, looking directly into her eyes as he moved his liquid hips. Melissa could feel several sets of eyes glaring at her. She could only laugh. “So you try these moves on my sister yet?” she asked with a wink.
“Oh yeah,” he said with a confident grin. “She digs me.”
Melissa smiled, rolling her eyes. “Yeah, I had no idea. Where is she?”
“She and Cassie ran to the restroom. I thought I’d come over and harass you for a second before Joey came back in. Because if history repeats itself, the two of you will be gone in about 10 minutes.”
“C’mon! We were out with y’all for a while last night,” Melissa said, turning crimson.
Justin rolled his eyes. “Whatever,” he said smiling as he continued to dance with Melissa.
Early into the next song, Joey and Lance were back. As Lance headed toward the bar for yet another drink, Joey crept up behind Melissa and began to move against her again. “Miss me?” he asked flirtatiously as he rubbed her shoulders.
“Mmmm, I did,” she said smiling. “But I think your new friend over there may really be missing you,” she said with a giggle. Joey’s preceding dance partner was standing across the room, arms crossed as she watched the two. She didn’t look happy, to say the least.
Joey simply laughed. “Well, there was somewhere else I wanted to be,” he said, nuzzling against her neck. “Of course, to be honest,” he whispered softly against her ear, “there’s still somewhere else I’d rather be.”
As his hot breath burned her skin, Melissa shuddered again. She couldn’t even manage words, only a sigh and nod.
They continued dancing closely as the music pounded through the hot, sticky air. The primal rhythm overtook their bodies as they clung to each other, their bodies grinding. They were lost in the music, lost in each other for endless moments. Joey ran his hands over her sweat-kissed body down to her hips. He traveled father down, cupping her round ass as he pressed his growing erection against her. Slowly, he positioned her body between his leg as he lifted one leg to rest on his hip. as he purposefully gyrated against her, never breaking eye contact.
When Melissa felt the material of Joey’s slacks rub across her sensitive skin, her excitement only grew. Grinding her wetness against his leg, she moaned in his ear. “Oh my god Joey. I want you.”
Joey could feel her excitement through the thin material of his pants and grew harder in response. “Dammit, woman,” he growled, continuing his movement beneath her. “The things you make me wanna do. I could care less that we’re surrounded by a hundred people who’d see everything. All I wanna do is…” he said, the last of his statement lost in a husky moan. Never ceasing their dance, Joey kissed a path of fire starting below Melissa’s ear, trailing down her neck. Slowly, deliberately, he kissed and stroked her neck with his tongue, marking her skin with his teeth. Still holding her close against his yearning body, he stroked her back and her ass as the music forced their bodies to move.
“God Joey,” Melissa gasped breathlessly. Her body wasn’t under her command anymore. Joey dominated her will and her body, and she felt she could do nothing to stop it. In truth, though, the last thing she wanted was to stop what he made her feel. She moved upon Joey as he kissed and touched her. Nothing felt better than his hands sliding over her body. He’d awaken desires she’d hidden even from herself and she wasn’t willing to allow those feelings to lay dormant again. She felt dizzy with desire, her sweaty body clinging to Joey’s.
“Maybe we should go get a drink,” he whispered against her skin.
Sitting in this bar was really the last thing that Melissa wanted to do, but they had all night. She knew she should savor every moment she had tonight, as it would be over far too soon. She nodded, licking her lips. She did need a drink.
She allowed Joey to lead her to a corner booth and was seated. Joey scooted in beside her, kissing her neck as the waitress approached. “What can I get y’all?” she asked with a smile.
Joey either didn’t hear the waitress or chose to focus his attention on Melissa’s neck instead of answering. “Joey,” she said, her voice wavering a bit. “Cut it out. Uhm hi,” she continued smiling up at the waitress. “We need a Coors light and a Smirnoff ice, please.”
The server smiled and walked away as Joey continued to ravage Melissa’s neck, making her squirm in her seat. “Mmmm, Joey, if you don’t stop, we are gonna hafta leave, cuz you’re making me crazy.”
“That’s the plan,” he whispered against her skin, smirking. “If I make you crazy enough, maybe I can talk you into going back to my place tonight.”
“I hate to dispel your illusions, Mr. Fatone, but you couldn’t stop me from following you home even if you wanted to. Consider me your own personal stalker,” she said, smiling.
They continued to kiss and touch as the waitress bought their drinks. She smiled, shook her head and walked away.
“Mmmm,” Melissa said as she threw back her drink. “Damn, that’s good.”
Joey looked at her, smiling before taking her mouth with his own. She moaned against his lips, and the heady mixture of their drinks assaulted his senses. His kiss deepened as his hands roamed her body. His right hand rested upon her thigh as he gently stroked her skin. He continued to caress further until he reached her ready pussy.
Melissa moaned and pressed against his hand as he fondled her, rubbing against her already engorged clit. He continued to caress her as she felt herself growing more excited by the moment. “Mmm, Joey, if you don’t stop now…”
He laughed against her mouth. “Ready to go, baby?”
She was more than ready. “Mhm, you?” she whispered as she rubbed his growing erection through his pants.
“Mmm, yeah, let’s go,” he said. Joey got up, looking around as he led Melissa from the club to the waiting limo.
Soon, they were back at their hotel room, kissing, touching, wanting. They walked in through the door, stripping themselves and each other as they walked. When they reached the bed, Melissa broke their contact, pushing Joey down on the bed.
“Hey,” he said, smiling impishly as he watched her. She stood before him, still wearing the bra and skirt. “Damn girl, get over here,” he commanded.
“Oh no,” she said. “You’ll just have to wait.” Never breaking eye contact, she slowly removed her skirt, and then her bra as she moved her hips to the music that only she heard. She climbed on top of Joey as their kisses continued, becoming more desperate by the minute.
Slowly, Melissa undulated upon Joey, making him grow harder. She teased him mercilessly with her body. Her wetness hovered just out of reach of his throbbing need and her breasts danced near his eyes and mouth but never close enough to capture. She could see the blatant desire in his eyes and took great enjoyment in the fact that she was in control of his longing and of his release.
Finally, when neither of them could take any more, she guided him into her, slowly, impaling herself on his massive member. “Oh, God Joey,” she moaned as she slid up and down his swollen shaft. Looking deeply into Joey’s eyes, she took his hands placing them above his head. She continued to ride his length, her breasts bouncing near his open mouth. Dipping lower, she gave him the opportunity to take her into his mouth. He took her raised nipple into his warm mouth, nibbling and sucking, causing her to moan and arch in immense pleasure.
After many endless moments, when she thought she could take no more pleasure from his knowledgeable tongue, Melissa released Joey’s hands, sitting up to allow him to penetrate her further. As she rode him, she took her breasts into her hands, tweaking her hardened nipples as she watched Joey. His eyes never left her and she could see his excitement building. “Mmmmm, you like that?” she asked huskily as she drew her right nipple into her mouth.
“Mmmm,” he moaned licking his full lips as he thrust deeper into her with each movement. “Fuck,” he uttered as his eyes narrowed. Watching her touch herself was almost his undoing. He’d never have known how open and willing she could be, and he also knew he’d never be able to forget it.
As Melissa continued thrashing upon his erect penis, she felt her excitement growing. She was ready to come. “God Joey," she moaned loudly. “I’m so ready. Come with me, baby,” she commanded as she flexed her muscles around his massiveness.
“Fuck, that feels good, Melissa” Joey exclaimed as he gave over to his wants. He felt her clamp down on him and she shouted. It was all he needed. As she reached her orgasm, he joined, bucking beneath her, spilling into her.
For long moments, she lay against his chest, listening to his heart resonating through her ears. “Shit,” she said smiling.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, as he stroked her long, tangled hair.
“Uhm, well, we didn’t use a condom.”
Joey smiled. “We’ve never used a condom.” He wasn’t at all worried. His trust in her was amazing, maybe a bit unsettling. They’d discussed the fact that she was on the pill, and Joey knew she’d only had one lover before him. He also let her know that he had always been very careful. They both knew they should be using protection, but usually their lovemaking began so quickly that it was difficult to remember.
“I know,” she smiled, “And it’s ok. But Brandi made me promise.”
Joey laughed as he replied, “Well, I guess the two of you had the talk, huh?”
“Yeah, she got onto me. I ought to be using a condom, and I know she’s right, but I’m safe and damn you, you keep making me forget what I ought to do. You just make me wanna do…well, what we do.”
“Well, don’t worry,” he whispered. “I’ll never tell.”
She smiled against his chest as he rolled over, never letting go. As the night before, they fell asleep, holding each other tight.
