Week 4 - Understand the Problem Before Trying to Fix It !
I disagree with those brothers for a number of reasons:
1. Allowing society to decay at its own pace puts our children at risk. They are in danger of accepting
post-modern arguments of the meaning of life, and reject Christ altogether.
� Deuteronomy 6: 6-8
These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your
children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you
lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your
foreheads.
� Deuteronomy 4: 39,40
Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the LORD is God in heaven above and on the
earth below. There is no other. Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you
today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live
long in the land the LORD your God gives you for all time.
� Psalm 34: 10,11
The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
Come, my children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the LORD .
� Psalm 78: 5-7
He decreed statutes for Jacob
and established the law in Israel,
which He commanded our forefathers
to teach their children,
so the next generation would know them,
even the children yet to be born,
and they in turn would tell their children.
Then they would put their trust in God
and would not forget his deeds
but would keep his commands.
� Proverbs 20: 7,8
The righteous man leads a blameless life;
blessed are his children after him.
� Matthew 19: 13-15
Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for
them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them. Jesus said, "Let the little children
come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.
