Shampooing (bathing)—Washing and rinsing with a gentle massage shower and brush to remove dirt and debris. A tearless shampoo is used on the head to protect the eyes.
	Hand dry and brush out coat—De-tangling an animals coat using special tools and conditioners. This is not always possible, some coats are not just knotted, but felted. This would be torture to inflict on any animal.
	Pads cleaned—The foot or paw area cleaning.
	Nails cut—Cutting the extra length from the nails. This is not unlike trimming your nails, except the animals walk on theirs. They will be sharp after being clipped.
	Ears and eyes cleaned—Removing dirt, wax and excess hair from the ear and eye area using drying powders and antiseptic cleansers.
