Albert's parents were Stephen Settle Bragg and Virginia Weltha (Wealthy) Harper. They had six children, all born in Braxton County. After Wealthy's death, Stephen remarried, to the older family's dismay, a much younger woman, Josephine Sandy, twenty years different in age. Together they had seven children, but then tragically in 1916 Josephine died and later the same year Stephen also died from injuries from an accident at the lumber mill where he worked. This left behind some very young children who ended up being raised by the older children from Stephen's first marriage. Life could not have been easy for them.
Stephen's parents were Joseph Dozier Bragg and Mary J. Poe. They had six children, according to information I have received. This is where the Bragg's line starts to get a little sketchy. I need to do more research to find information for sure about Joseph's ancestors.
