Joe was the only artist I knew who
sang and smiled without an ego.
When I looked at him, his eyes never
meant harm, his face was always kind,
And his words were always so uplifting.
He seemed at peace. In his respect,
I wanted to be like Joe .
" He seemed at peace" ...I guess I was
wrong . I never looked deep enough.
The door is closed now. And aithough
I think we'll never know what really
was inside Joe, I do believe that he has
now found his home, his love, his
life...his peace. You can truly smile
now Joe.
