Latest News!!
On May 22, 2005 I had the pleasure of watching this Swallowtail visit various plants through my garden laying eggs!  I couldn't believe my luck when I actually captured this in one of the many photos I took!!!  Look closely and you can see her curled abdomen as she layed one egg on this Dill plant which is right next to the Parsley, which she also layed a egg on :)
I have grown many plants trying to attract various butterflies.  I have the herbs of course, Monardia, Salvia, Blue Scabiosa, Trailing Lantana, a Baja Fairy Duster, a Lilac, Red Bird of Paradise, Passion Flower, Shasta Daisys, and Purple Coneflowers.
Next season I am planning to grow various types of Milkweed in hopes of attracting Monarchs.  I am also hoping to add a feather tree.
I have lots more information about Butterfly Gardening in the desert to put on this page, just not enough time... so please check back often.
