200. John Permenter Sr. ^{(51) (52)(53)} was born in 1737 in Edgecombe Co., NC. He died before 24 Jan 1803 in Onslow Co., NC. ^(54)(55) Document shows John Sr. having the inventory of his estate having been conducted on 17 Dec 1800- Feb 1801 by his son Nathaniel, Sr. & Grandsons, thus he must have died c. Sep 1800 or W/I 3 mos. of this recorded transaction. The Surname PARMENTER will also be spelled PERMENTER. It is unclear as to the cause of this variation. He was married to Sarah Evans on 16 Mar 1763 in Edgecombe Co., NC.

201. Sarah Evans was born in 1741. She died in 1806. Children were:

i. John Permenter Jr.⁽⁵⁶⁾ was born in 1764 in Edgecombe Co., NC. He died in 1802 in Edgecombe Co., NC.
ii. Wright Permenter⁽⁵⁷⁾ was born about 1764 in Edgecombe Co., NC.⁽⁵⁸⁾ He died about Aug 1800 in Edgecombe Co., NC.⁽⁵⁹⁾ Although Wright Permenter lived in Edgecombe Co., the date of his death is in question here. Jay K. Griffin states that Wright died BEF. 1802. He was also known as Right Permenter.⁽⁶⁰⁾

iv. James Permenter was born in 1765 in Edgecombe Co., NC. ⁽⁶¹⁾ He Relocate From Edgecombe Co. NC about 1815 in Edgefield Co., SC.⁽⁶²⁾ John Sr. died bef. 1803 and James will move to SC after his marriage in 1812.
v. Susanna Permenter was born in 1768 in Edgecombe Co., NC.
vi. Sarah Permenter was born about 1772 in Onslow Co., NC. She Relocate FM Edgecombe Co., NC about 1815 in Edgefield Co., SC.⁽⁶³⁾ Probably moved when brothers did.
vii. Martha Permenter was born about 1777 in Edgecombe Co., NC. She died about 1851 in Onslow Co., NC.
viii. Evans Permenter was born about 1785 in Edgecombe Co., NC. ⁽⁶⁴⁾ Since all of his Bros. & Sis. were born in Edgecombe County, it is reasonable @ this point to assume he was also. He Relocate FM Edgecombe Co., NC about 1815 in Edgefield Co., SC.⁽⁶⁵⁾ Probably moved when brothers and sister moved.
