I created this page in the hopes of posting pictures of my future kills. So far this year I havn't gotten anything. This is my first year hunting. I beleive next year will be much better. I am going to do some major scouting in the off season, build some blinds/ tree stands and maybe plant a few small food plots. I hunt in Tuscola county on private land and a few different spots in Ogemaw county. My weapon of choice for Bow season is a Golden Eagle Falcon set at 50 lbs. of pull. I use easton xx78 arrows with bear 2 blades broad heads. I know the pull sounds a little weak but with the 2 blade heads they really penetrate pretty good. At least on round bales of hay.

My weapon of choice for Firearm season is a Winchester Model 94 30-30. This gun is as old as me. I use Winchester 150 grain super X hollow points.

Since this picture I have taken the scope off of this gun due to the side mount. I could never get it to line up right. This gun wasn't made for long shots so I figured I'm pretty good with just open sights. I might invest in a better sighting system for it but I think a scope isn't all that nessecary for it. That is why I like my brother in law's gun better. He has a Marlin lever action. It has the side action so you can mount a scope normally.

I have a few guns on my wish list. The first one I need to get is a shotgun. I am considering getting a Remington 870 Express combo smoothbore/rifled barrel. If I don't get up enough cash for that by next firearm season I'll settle for a 12 or 20 gauge single shot cheapy just so I can hunt in Tuscola county. That is a shotgun only zone. The other gun on my wish list is probably a Savage due to the low cost and great accuracy. I'm throwing around the option of two different calibers. 25.06 or 7mm. Both of these guns sound very exiting to shoot from what I've read. I don't feel the need for some huge cannon. I think that a faster bullet can be just as good as a bigger bullet for white tail deer. I'd like to get into reloading to get the full control of my shot but that will have to wait a while unless I hit the lotto.
