On August 9 1998 at 5:00 pm est while travling northbound
on Dufferin and Dupont in Toronto, my beloved FZR1000 was struck by a southbound
car, at a combined speed of 40kph on front end damage was visual. I received only
Sprined thumb and a rental car. Later I found out that State Farm my insurerer
said that there are not going to repair my bike but pay me the same amount I bouugh it for.
After Writing off my helmet they paid me the $5,600 cdn that I paid for it and got a new helmet, I rushed
out to the wreckers and replaced my V&H pipe and put the stock pipeon it.
Here's what's left, left & right fairings
solo seat (mint), chain gaurd, left side stickers. All the parts shown were not on the
bike at time of the accident. The right fairing has if you can see minor scrashes on the
blue part of the sticker. The first owner said that the bike was leaned aginst a wall.
Sounds fishy but I believe it because the bike was in mint condition when I bought it.
The left fairing is sanded down, all it needs is paint. Here's the story, I let a budy of
mine ride the bike and he dropped it on wet pavment at about 10kph. Enough
damage to repaint it. So I got the stickers and 1 week later bam I got hit. I am
willing to sell them for $400 cdn firm. It's all I have left and it's hard to let go.
E-mail me if interested.
