You have reached the deepest depths of Joe's website. Here you will find many photos of Black Sabbath. The pictures tell the story of how Black Sabbath came into being, and how they evolved.
Still falls the rain, the veils of darkness shroud the blackened trees, which contorted by some unseen violence, shed their tired leaves, and bend their boughs towards a grey earth of severed bird wings. among the grasses, poppies bleed before a gesticulating death, and young rabbits, born dead in traps, stand motionless, as though guarding the silence that surrounds and threatens to engulf all those that would listen. Mute birds, tired of repeating yesterdays terrors, huddle together in the recesses of dark corners, heads turnedfrom the dead, black swan that floats upturned in a small pool in the hollow. there emerges from this pool a faint sensual mist, that traces its way upwards to caress the chipped feet of the headless martyr's statue, whose only achievement was to die to soon, and who couldn't wait to lose. the cataract of darkness form fully, the long black night begins, yet still, by the lake a young girl waits, unseeing she believes herself unseen, she smiles, faintly at the distant tolling bell, and the still falling rain.

Sabbath in 1978>>>.
In the year 1980, Black Sabbath released their frontman, Ozzy Osbourne.
Ozzy was replaced by ex-Rainbow vocalist Ronnie James Dio.
Dio, although not as successful financially, was a far superior vocalist and a much needed improvement for the band.
The same year, Black Sabbath released their first studio album with Dio, called "Heaven and Hell".
Heaven and Hell did enjoy a fair amount of commercial success, which was more than the band's last 2 or 3 albums with Ozzy. Through his master songwriting capabilities, Dio was able to bring back the Sabbath "mystique" which had been missing for the past several years.
The next studio album was called "Mob Rules". Again showcasing some great songwriting by Dio, and some even better guitarwork by Tony, Mob Rules was an instant hit, and even lended its title track to the soundtrack of the 80's cult movie "Heavy Metal".
In the latter half of 1982, Sabbath toured and thankfully for us, recorded only their second live album (first one was "Live at Last"), called "Live Evil".
