Our mission, should we choose to accept it, is to make the most of TWO FULL MONTHS OF RELATIVELY UNRESTRICTED TRAVEL within the continental United States. This will constitute what is known as THE GREAT AMERICAN ROAD TRIP. There are several parties involved.

1. JOE
2. NATHAN
3. The GREAT AMERICAN ROAD TRIP
   (as experienced through popular media)
4. The United States
5. it's denizens
6. and you.

The relationships between these parties is complex. Essentially, Parties One and Two are engaged through oral contract to gain access to party three in all its glory. To achieve this lofty goal parties one and two must drive around in party four and interact with party five. This will probably involve parties. Probably with alcohol. Possibly, though probably not, more than just JOE and NATHAN skinny dipping alone into their PABST BLUE RIBBON 40S.

This all relies on party six (psst. that's you...) who has the job of sending us crazy places bringing your messages wherever you want.

Travel is actually restricted by gas, road conditions, Joe's mood, the weather, and acts of God.
