Welcome To The Reconstruction!

I have finally committed to rebuilding my split ring design! For this effort, I'll be sharing the experience with a good friend who has no knowledge or experience with astronomy or telescopes, Kevin Parker. He has tools and a lot of interest - the only requirements needed to become an amateur telescope maker! 

All that remains of my original telescope are the primary (10" f5.6) and secondary mirrors. Everything else is new. Kevin has purchased an identical mirror set to build a second telescope. Therefore, Kevin and I will be sharing hints, calculation formulae, design decisions, detailed descriptions and pictures.
