Sega will partner with NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East) to build a fiber-optic network for the airport. In the lounge area, visitors will be able to access Internet ready PC's capable of transferring data at 100/Mb sec. Sega's propriety touchscreen multimedia system will also be available offering visitors the latest in music and games. Usage of the facility will cost approximately 600 yen ($5) per hour, and airport visitors will be able to access the lounge from 8AM to 8PM daily. Sega reportedly hopes to outfit other stores in the airport with broadband access, and expand their Internet services business to other regional locations.7/17/02* |
