The two, after leaving the tunnel, followed the mountain side, not wishing to loose sight of any helpful landmarks. Calvin had a mischievous smirk on his face and would let out an occasional chuckle. Smiley wore a 'what did I just do' look and occasionally would beat his head against the rock wall. Calvin couldn't tell if the chips flying off were from the rock or Smiley's head.
For the first time in a long time, Smiley did not have a good return to Calvin's remarks, and that alone was good enough to keep Calvin quiet. Neither could remember the last time he didn't have anything to say. For once, nature said more than they did. Most of that night was pretty quiet too. Finally, it was Smiley that broke the silence.
"Oh, stop it."
Calvin chuckles "Stop what?"
Smiley shakes his hands in front of Clavin's face. "Stop THAT."
"Whaaat?"
"Whaaaaaat?" He mocks. "Wipe that freakin grin off your face, dude."
"Dude?"
Nods: "Dude."
Shaking head: "Dude."
Angrily: "Dude!"
Surprised: "Dude?"
Pause... "Dude."
Calvin momentarily reconciles. "Dude, what's up?"
Smiley repeats "What's up??"
"Yeah, what'sup?"
"Whatsup."
Grinning "Whatzup."
"Whatzaahp!"
"Waaaatzuuuup!"
Tongue sticking out "Wuuuuutzuuuuuuuuuuuuuup!"
"Whaaaaaattttzzzzzaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhppp!"
Resting arm on companion's shoulder "Wuzup?"
Laughing uncontrollably "WWWWWWWWWHHHHHAAAAAATTTTTTTZZZZZZZZUUUUUUUPPPPPPPP!!!!"
