JASON'S OFFROADER
FIXING THE SEAT
Over the last 2 weeks things went a bit slow on the build of jason's offroader  what with going to the show (BUGFREEZE) for the weekend . Jason decided to move from the secret location ( the farm) for fear of not geting into the work shop to continue the building of his car due to the foot & mouth disease scare. So he moved lock stock anb barrel to a nother location where there is a canteen with a ready supply of food and tea. What would he do with out mum and dad's garage.  The car that jason is building "was" going to be a two seater but after seeing Adi's car VENOM (see pic 13) at bugreeze and all agreeing what a fabulous car he has built (give your self a big pat on the back Adi) some of jason's plans went out of the window. He doesn't want anybody to think he want's to copy Adi's car but it certainly inspired him to build a single seater and I agree.

Any way we are back on track now the new plans for the frame have come into action stright off the drawing board I mean out of Jason's head.
Pic 14 shows the fixing of the seat to the frame the 2inch tubes attaching the front to the back were cut ,shortend and moved in by 6 inche's ,Now that gives the lenth of the car from the center of the front wheel to the center of the back wheel 93 1/2 inche's and two peices of 1 inch by 2inch of box section steel were welded in position. Pic 15 shows a sub frame for the seat was made the sub frame was positiond on to the two peices of box section and four holes were drilled,Four nut's were welded under neath the box section steel so when the sub frame is attached to the seat (see pic 16) the whole lot can be easily bolted down to the frame of the car (see pic 17).
